26 May, 2017The story of our wedding
I married my husband on May 26, 2017 at Sheraton Parkway Hotel in Richmond Hill. It was the most amazing and beautiful day that I will never forget. It was the day that we finally got to become husband and wife, the day I have been waiting for my whole life. We got engaged on April 27, 2016 for my birthday and I spent the rest of the year planning our wedding day which was very stressful along the way, but let me tell you it was all worth it. The wedding day arrived and there were things that happened and went wrong because no weddings go exactly as planned. The place where I was renting the sparkly table linens from was closed when I went to pick it up the day before the wedding, after arguing with the lady over the phone I had to arrange for my sister to go at 7am on the wedding day to pick it up from the place. Also, the back hook of one of my bridemaid's dress broke but luckily with the sewing kit that I put in each of my bridesmaids' survival kit, we stiched the back of her dress. Brides should always remember to have a sewing kit on their wedding day in case of emergency. Later on I found out one of the groomsman forgot his suit pants, and the other groomsman shirt button poped on the morning of the wedding and they had to rush to Moores to get replacements. It was a beautiful and nice day which wasn't cold or too hot, it was just a perfect day in May. When we went for our bridal party photos, we went to Humbar Arboretum, the place was beautiful and I will defintely recommend it for your wedding photos. However it did start raining which I wasn't too happy about because we couldn't stay out long, but we managed to still get some really nice shots since we had umbrellas with us because I knew the weather might not cooperate with us so I bought umbrellas for my whole bridal party. The day came to the ceremony and the officiant was about one hour late which pushed everything back, however even though all these things happened on the wedding day, let me tell you it was still perfect and everything worked out just amazing at the end. The reception came and we got to just have fun and forget about everything that happened that day, the guests had an amazing time and loved the food. I was totally impressed with the set up of my whole wedding, from the reception hall to the receiving table, I gave everything that I wanted to be set up and how I want it to be to my venue manager and she set it up just perfect. One thing I would suggest is that brides enjoy their wedding day, every bit of it, because in the blink of an eye it's all over. To this day I still miss and think about my wedding day but I'm happy because I got to marry the man of my dreams and to spend the rest of my life with him.
