The story of our wedding

WE had the most gorgeous and personal day. We started the day with a first look at my parents house in Glen Haven, Nova Scotia. Our photographer was excellent and captured everything beautifully. When the photos were completed, we travelled to The Halifax Club for dinner. Our guest all met us at the Halifax Club. I know it is uncommon to have dinner before the ceremony but we wanted to be fed! The dinner was phenomenal. The service was impeccable. After dinner, us along with all our guests travelled back to my parent's home. We had the ceremony in the backyard. My father performed the ceremony. It was beautiful, personal, and special. After the ceremony we had the traditional dances. My husband and I danced to Moon River the Andy Williams version. My father/daughter dance was to For My Dad by Nancy Sinatra. The mother/son dance was Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Afterwards we invited all our guests to change into cozy clothes and had a big bonfire with snacks and drinks and games. It was an incredible and amazing day.
