The story of our wedding

We got married on our acreage in Parkland County, Alberta. It was so personal having it at our own home. We wanted to make memories on our acreage and have our wedding photos taken in our own trees and pastures. The weather was perfect, a cloudless warm September day. After the ceremony, we had our reception at Woodbend Hall, just down the road from our house. Our guest list was about 57 people. My husband and his friends made the food themselves - smoked pork, warm potato salad, beans, cesaer salad and buns. (Everyone though we were crazy, myself included, but it turned our perfect and it is very do-able if your venue has the right amenities). We rented a sound system and dance floor lighting and used Spotify playlists for our music and it worked out PERFECTLY - way better than a DJ. I didn't leave the dance floor for the whole night and everyone danced and sang so much, I'm so happy we didn't hire a DJ.
