The story of our wedding

We got engaged a couple days after attending a friend's wedding. We went to Niagara-on-the-Lake on the Monday after, October 3, 2022. I had no idea that he was going to propose that day, even though he kept leaving little hints, such as him holding up a sign in the photobooth at our friend's wedding that says "Soon to be Mrs.___". When we were walking around Niagara-on-the-Lake, we made our way down to this gazebo by the lake. We ended up walking past the gazebo as there was someone in there and he was waiting for them to leave. When we walked into the gazebo, he got down on one knee and proposed.

A few weeks after he proposed, we started looking at venues and wanted to book one quickly as we had a specific date in mind and venues were also playing catch-up from Covid. We booked Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club as our venue as we loved the scenery and views from the golf course and how they have an inclusive package.

The day of, we had the perfect weather and our favourite group of people were there. The skies cleared out just in time for the ceremony and it was very sunny and not too hot. We had our ceremony outside facing the escarpment and it was beautiful. We had our pictures outside while our guests were inside for cocktail hour. Everything ran very smoothly and the Dundas Valley were very good with keeping us on time.
