The story of our wedding

Kyle and I were married on November 1st 2019. He and I met in high school and began dating our senior year. In the summer of 2018, we went to Ottawa as a quick summer getaway before he started his last year of university (as I was already graduated and working), where he proposed during a bike tour of the city, on our 7 year anniversary. We were married November 1st 2019, at the Pillar and Post Hotel in Niagara on the Lake, specifically in the Old Library.

Kyle and I have small families and are pretty laid back as a couple. We chose to have a small wedding - and kept the guest list at 34. Only our closest family and friends, people who have known both of us a long time, were invited. We knew we wanted to have an easy-going wedding for our smaller number of guests. I wanted the reception to feel like a nice dinner party, I didn't want a DJ with strobe lights and a dance floor. We didn't have a head table. We sat among our families and friends, we wined and dined, and laughed and cried. We had our wedding cake sliced and brought out to the cake table, and then served it to our guests ourselves. We wanted to say thank you to everyone there, for showing us their love and support, and for helping make our day the most memorable day of our lives.
