The story of our wedding

We eloped while on holiday in Canada. We wanted something very casual, and effortless and that’s exactly what we got. We woke up in the morning, went shopping for outfits, took half an hour to get ready then met Jane (celebrant) and Emily (photographer), who were organised through Young, Hip & Married, at Vanier Park after lunch. The ceremony was 5-10 minutes, just what we had gone over. We then had some photos taken straight after so we could share them with our families when we arrived back home. After that, we met our 15-20 friends we were on holiday with for a celebration, then we took off on our honeymoon! So simple, ticked all our boxes, meant so much to us and we escaped the big wedding we were fearing! You don’t have to do what everyone does, and you don’t have to try to please everyone. It’s an important day in YOUR life - make it about you, whatever that means!
