The story of our wedding

My husband and I had been dating for 11+ years, we grew up together and he was just finishing medical school so when he proposed in March 2019, there wasn't any other answer but yes! We booked our venue before covid for the summer of 2021, and as we went through 2020 and saw that the pandemic wasn't going away any time soon, the reality of having our wedding as we had originally planned seemed to dwindle. We had originally planned to have 200+ guests at the gorgeous Elora Mill Hotel & Spa as we wanted a venue that was romantic, old-world feeling, and could be turned into a weekend celebration.

We went back and forth with our wedding planner if we should postpone or not and everyone had an opinion as to what we should do. But as we got close to our date we decided no matter what, we didn't want to postpone. We had committed to our date, to multiple vendors who were all dealing with so many cancellations already, and we didn't want to wait in the hopes that maybe in a few months things would be better (spoiler alert, the pandemic is still going strong).
