8 Oct, 2022The story of our wedding
On the morning of October 8th, I woke up and grabbed everything I needed. I grabbed my dress, shoes, jewelry and some other essentials. My fiancés uncle drove me to the venue where I would meet up with my bridesmaids for hair and makeup. I got there at 9am, we started getting ready early. As my bridesmaids were getting ready, I was doing finishing touches to the venue, lights, candles, and putting the chairs out to the ceremony area. Time went by very quickly, before I knew it, I was getting my hair and makeup done and it was an hour before I had to walk down the aisle. My hair was black, half up/half down, and my dress was a lace ball gown. My bouquet was mixed with red and black roses and some plants, my bridesmaids carried a single dark rose down the aisle. It was now 4pm. My fiancé came and grabbed my mom and his mom and walked them down the aisle and then my bridesmaids went out one by one. My niece was a flower girl and after that was my dad and I. I was hyperventilating, extremely nervous and didn’t know what to expect. I walked down steady with my dad at my side, and once I was in the aisle, I saw the photographer and I just focused on looking at the camera so I didn’t cry. Once I saw my fiancé, all my nerves went away and I knew I was safe and everything was going to be great. My officiant was amazing, he made everyone laugh and it went so fast. Within 10 minutes he announced us as mr. And mrs. Raymond and everyone cheered as we walked back into the venue. Soon after we took photos for about two hours with family and friends, it was really cold outside. Our photos were beautiful. After that was our dances, we danced to I won’t give up. We had a pasta bar for dinner! And during dinner it was announced that we are pregnant and expecting a baby in the spring! And we got a huge round of applause! And we danced the rest of the night! It was an amazing day! Our wedding was a “dark romance” themed wedding, very Victorian and gothic and everyone loved that around Halloween! We had candy apples as party favours and everyone loved our day just as much as we did!
