The story of our wedding

From the beginning we knew we had a handful of core values to uphold for our wedding. Connection with our guests and between guests, a fun and stress-free day of, and low environmental impact. To bring these values to life we veered away from many classic wedding traditions. I created a 2-piece wedding outfit out of my mother's wedding dress. We only sourced from small business and local vendors. We used very little materials, all of which were barrowed, DIYed, and thrifted to lower their environmental impact. And yard games were a huge part of our special day. We had the good fortune of celebrating our big day with so many loving and supportive family and friends, many of whom had never met before but became close during the wedding! Some of them are even planning trips together! It was a perfect day full of love, laughter, happy tears, and play.
