The story of our wedding

Our magical day was exactly what we had dreamt of, especially at our venue, Brook & Barn, in our hometown. The venue is a lush, gorgeous dream come true. It’s rustic, spacious, and leaves plenty of room for your own creativity. For the ceremony, we decided to arrange it directly in front of a heritage barn for the most spectacular backdrop in an intimate, garden-like setting.

After the ceremony and family photos in front of the barn, we took the wedding party 5 minutes up the property to a breathtaking lookout point that views most of Kelowna/West Kelowna and Okanagan lake. While the wedding party was taking photos, we had our guests moved 100 meters, across a small bridge/creek, onto a beautiful open grass space bordered by cedars. They were entertained by incredible live music (Jeff Piatteli), delicious snacks (Relvas Catering), and fabulous drinks (Reigns & Pours). We also brought in our own field games including corn hole, ladder ball, and yard Yahtzee.

Right next to the entertainment-filled field is the open air barn where we decided to have our reception and dinner. It also has a brand new, walled, attached room that we decided to use to serve our buffet, which consisted of maple glazed salmon, chilli lime chicken, roasted garlic Caesar salad, and roasted vegetables. We had an incredible reception, filled with laughs and tears, followed by our first dance in the field. The rest of the evening included an incredible amount of dancing until the sun went down with the live band, s’mores, and more yard games. It truly was our perfect day.
