The story of our wedding

Our love has always been special. We both met each other at a New Year's Eve party in 2015. Who knew 3 months later we would run into each other again. 6 months later and he would ask me to be his girlfriend. Shortly after we began dating we ended up moving in together. After a year and a half of bliss, we got hit with some bad luck. Nathaniel's health started to decline and many days, turning to weeks in the hospital took its toll. We ended up needing to move again, so once he was well enough, we moved to a nearby city, closer to his family. By this time, he was planning to propose, his family was all on board, he asked my mom for her permission and everyone seemed to know but me. Shortly after New Year's, 2018, Nathaniel popped the question and I said yes!!! That night was such a surprise because we were celebrating Nathaniel's personal accomplishments when he decided to share his special day with me. Once we had time to process the amazing next step, we decided to give ourselves time to plan our perfect day, and two years later we tied the knot, in Niagara, where we had our first trip together. Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true. Everything turned out perfectly and it was amazing having such an intimate ceremony with only the closest of our friends and family. Our favourite moment that we still talk about is a song that Nathaniel's uncle sang for us. He wrote a song, specifically about our love story and that really got the crowd going. The day was filled with so much love and laughter, we still think about our day, daily, even though it was a month ago!!! Backtrack to before the wedding day while we were planning the wedding, Nathaniel was back in the hospital for another 3 months needing 2 more emergency surgeries. Going through life's hardships affirmed to me that we were strong and we would make it out through anything together. As of now, he is doing very well and we feel confident enough to plan our honeymoon abroad. This December we will be taking a Caribbean cruise. We both feel so blessed to have the kind of love that can withstand anything, and I can't believe I married the man of my dreams.
