Phil and Amanda's wedding in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, Quebec

30 Oct, 2022The story of our wedding
We had absolute perfect weather considering it was Halloween weekend in Quebec! The food at our venue was to DIE FOR, not to mention just how beautiful the venue itself is (we could easily have gotten away with not decorating at all) and despite them not being on wedding wire, i highly recommend them to anyone ( Mouton Village in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu)- please look them up!
We kept our guestlist very small (about 50 people total), and it was the best decision, as we really got to have a more intimate and freeing experience without the stress and time to please 100+ guests- everyone there we were highly comfortable to be ourselves around.
I would tell anyone planning to lean into your quirks. Phil loves attention and had a vision of being able to karaoke on his wedding day, and despite how tackey and annoying it COULD have been- it wasn't! definitely one of the highlights of the night was everyone taking turns and having a blast. (Thank you Next Entertainment. As for myself, I am a huge fan of Halloween and fall in general, so of course I had a costume change at the end of the night where I got to change my dress for Lunar Moth wings, and had sunflowers and fall leaves for our floral arrangements instead of the usual roses and romantic flowers (Zen n' Floral). All of these decisions really made the night what it was and really made it feel like OUR day, and not a show.
