The story of our wedding

Our wedding was nothing like we originally planned. June 27, 2020 was a date I had picked out as soon as we started dating, little did I know it would be taken away so quickly...the coronavirus pandemic had affected out special day, or so it thought! Our original wedding was set to take place on the waterfront of the beautiful Liuna Gardens in Stoney Creek with 300 guests, followed by an evening of entertainment set up amongst moody romantic decor. We had planned for a photo booth, caricature artist, waffle station, dessert bar, and a late night fireworks display over the lake. Our plans quickly changed due to the pandemic, our large spring wedding became an intimate summer gathering, but it was magical! We kept our lakefront ceremony, and moved our reception to an outdoor pub patio with just our local family members. It all went so well, we decided to do it again two weeks later with a second small reception for our friends. We were able to get married, and celebrate with family and friends, and that was so incredibly meaningful to us especially after such a tough year! Our ceremony was followed by an hour of wedding photos, a caricaturist and photobooth for guests. We couldn't have asked for a more special day. We were actually able to spend quality time with our guests at each reception and enjoy our nights. We are so grateful to have had this experience and to now be husband and wife ❤️
