29 Apr, 2022The story of our wedding
Our wedding day was the perfect mix of spring sunshine, boho/romantic vibes, dancing and laughter.
The Guild Inn was the second venue we had seen, and we knew we HAD to have it, and it did not disappoint. We loved the idea of having everything from (girls) getting ready to first look to photos, ceremony and reception in one stunning place. The gardens were a perfect spot for photos, even pre-flower season. It actually lended itself well to our vibe!
Our flowers were a beautiful mix of fresh and dried florals - We kept them minimal and on-theme.
Every last detail of the wedding was either designed or curated by Danielle. As a graphic designer, this was a true passion project for her, and she loved seeing her vision come to life on the Big Day! A particular favourite is the seating chart made with love and help from family.
The bridal party wore a range of shades from pale pink to cabernet, which were carried through into the florals. All of the girls were given a colour and able to pick any dress that made them happiest! This flowed well the eclectic scheme and you could see how happy they felt in them through the photos.

Danielle wore a stunning Madi Lane dress that she added removable sleeves from Made With Love to. It had a soft, latte coloured underlay and flowy tulle that melted into the romantic side of the wedding theme. For sunset photos, she removed her veil and wore a beautiful floral hat that meshed with the boho side of the theme and made for some artistic, modern shots.
We tossed a lot of tradition for our wedding, and added some of our own. Danielle walked herself down the aisle and added a mother-daughter dance to the reception. There was no bouquet or garter toss, and we opted not to have wedding cake or favours - There was a delicious cheesecake with the meal, and we reallocated our favour budget to include things like scarves and rescue flats for guests.
Overall, it was the most perfect blur of a day, filled with more love than we could ever imagine and musical moments we'll never forget like walking down the aisle to a cello acoustic cover of "Today" by the Smashing Pumpkins, to the Stomping' Tom tribute to Danielle's grandmother who passed just a couple months before the wedding, to our first dance set to "Biblical" by Callum Scott and a final dance to Taylor Acorn's cover of "First Date", surrounded by our loved ones holding lights and candles, as we danced the night away - Together.
