19 Oct, 2024The story of our wedding
Despite both of us coming down with colds in the days leading up to the wedding, it was truly an amazing celebration. Everyone had such a great time. The dancing was fun. The speeches were funny and having a friend perform the ceremony and more friends play the music we walked down the aisle to made it really special. My family flew in from the UK, USA & Calgary and it was like a family reunion.

I could just be me—and there were those butterflies! And then, Steve casually mentions that he had a crush on me back in grade 6. I was like, “What?! You knew?!”

And right before he left, he asked, “Would you like to do this again?” I said yes, and honestly, I think I knew right then that something beautiful and unexpected had begun. What started as childhood crushes has grown into something so much deeper and truer than I ever could’ve imagined.
