20 Apr, 2019The story of our wedding
We started off our days getting ready in our families houses as we come from traditional upbringings.
The groomsmen and fiance came as I was finished my hair and makeup so my bridesmaids can set up door games for them. It was a rainy day so they couldn't host it outside and improvised doing it inside my parent's garage haha.
I can hear the laughter from the kitchen so I knew it was going well and I was doing my photos in my dress with my mom helping me.
Tony and I then did our first look. I was coming down the stairs as his back was toward me. I tapped him on the right side and popped up on his left. It was so nice and emotional to see each other all done up.
We and the wedding party grabbed a few bites before heading out to the venue. It really is true that the wedding day is crazy busy from one event to another.
The venue at Paradise Banquet hall was done up so well. It was so bright and classical looking, I felt like a princess.
Tony and I had some time to relax in my bridal suite as we were getting nervous about the ceremony, but we were excited at the same time.

The start of the ceremony was going to commence and I was already nervous as our wedding party started to walk down the aisle. My mom unexpectedly wanted to walk me down last minute with my dad, but I was happy she did.
The ceremony was officiated by my Commanding Officer of my Navy unit, such a great guy. He helped calm us down during the whole thing and whispering words like "you're doing fine". It was quite emotional and beautiful, we even got some people tearing up!
After the ceremony, Tony and I did a photoshoot alone and then with the groomsmen. The girls were tending to the guests to find their seats at the receiving table.
Moments later, dinner was already starting! Boy does that hour go by fast!
Our itinerary of the night went as such, from what I remember:
-wedding party entrances
-first dance [although our videographer told us not to talk during the dance and look as natural as possible, we were so nervous that we were discussing when he should twirl me ahah]
-cake cutting
-first course with speeches [the speeches from our friends and fathers were so thoughtful and we felt so loved and appreciated]
-game 1
-second course with father-daughter and mother-son dance [another surprise was my mom was supposed to dance instead of Tony's. His mom got called up instead and we just went with it! When she didn't want to dance anymore, I got my mom up to take her place]
-game 2
-main course
-game 3
-dessert
-money dance [We were surprised by how long this game went as we thought not many people wanted to dance with us. It was nice to get some one on one time with our guests]
-bridesmaid dance followed by groomsmen dance [I danced to Boom boom by momoland, a kpop girl group and he danced to Love on top by Beyonce. I must say our dance practices really paid off!]
-open dance floor
Finally, the atmosphere, food, company was so wonderful! Despite all the stress of wedding planning, I know things will never go as how you want them to go, but what matters, in the end, is being married to Tony and celebrating with all of our family and friends while having a great time! I just wish the time didn't go so fast that day!
