Absolutely loved our wedding at Caffino. The venue is gorgeous and the indoor/outdoor spaces make for a really unique and laid back vibe. The food is amazing we got a million compliments and the staff are very professional. Our guests loved how special the venue was and how different it was from your typical banquet hall. We had 85 people which was the perfect amount for the venue size. I was so happy we chose Caffino!

This venue is enchanting with its 2 trees, eclectic rustic decor, different rooms/courtyards to explore, and industrial landscapes for photos. After a painstaking search it was the only venue we liked that was even affordable. My favorite part was the flexibility and friendly help from the coordinator Antoinette - which significantly helped with my wedding-planning stress. They do wedding quite often and so i'm surprised to only see 3 reviews here - they know what they're doing :) It was perfect for our intimate wedding (50 ppl)!

Rosa and Caffino were such a pleasure to plan with. Incredibly attentive and willing to answer any questions I had in person or via email. Our family has been dining at this restaurant for 20 years so it was so special to be able to have it be our wedding venue. Can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for a charming and unique venue in the Toronto area!

I really didn’t want to leave a negative review but I am heartbroken by my communication with Rosa (owner). I started my wedding inquiry on may 4 over email and because I reside overseas all communication was either email or phone calls. Communication was a lengthy process and we spent about a month talking through email/phone. I sent over an initial list of questions I had and would wait ~2-3 days for a response back. I thought this was no big deal and is likely due due to their reduced hours. However, not all the questions were answered either. I was finally able to get a hold of her and had a call to go through all my questions. I thought the conversation went well and I was ready to sign the contract. I also inquired if I would be allowed to push back my wedding if there were still covid restrictions in 2022 to which Rosa said yes. I followed up again for a video walk through and price breakdown down which took another week to receive. We were all finally ready to sign the contract which Rosa said it’ll be sent over ASAP. I had to wait another 3 days before receiving it and I also followed up to make sure everything was ok and that date was reserved for me. Rosa said it was so I was not worried. The contract was finally sent over and I noticed there was no covid restrictions clause or a force majeur clause so I sent over an email to ask if that can be included. I thought this was a reasonable clause as my wedding photographer also had a similar statement in their contract. I got no response back for another 2 days but assumed everything was ok. Rosa responds back saying that this was an unreasonable request and did not want to go back and forth anymore and that the deal was over. I was shocked and tried to ask what had happened because no one responded to my last inquiry. If they had responded back saying it cannot be included and gave me a deadline to sign it, I gladly would have still signed it. But to take away the contract like this was the most shocking and unprofessional experience I’ve dealt with. I had already booked my photographer knowing that Rosa told me the date was secured for me. I didn’t think a question about covid would completely destroy our month long work towards this contract.

My advice for others trying to book their wedding with this venue: Maybe it’ll be easier for the folks to visit and sign in person. But my experience of all this was a complete nightmare. I now have to look for another wedding venue.

Final reach out to Rosa: Hi Rosa, if you are reading this - I have tried to call multiple times and was willing to sign without any covid clause. I love the venue so much I'm even willing to see if another date is available. I don't want to leave this negative review up and would love to support local businesses. I'm still open to talk through options if you are.
I would also suggest Caffino have a wedding brochure and a list of commonly asked questions so that we do not have to go back and forth over email. I think that would've helped our communication a lot.

My husband and I were going to have our reception at Caffino. However because we reside overseas, we could no longer proceed. I queried about our deposit refund to only be verbally abused by Rosa (who appears to own the restaurant) accusing me of ‘using Covid to my advantage’ and then continues to falsely accuse me of booking a date no one else can use (this is absolutely false). With all my email evidence of the rude and abusive responses which I have saved, I warn anyone who intends to have their ceremony/reception at Caffino, please re-consider.
This is the most difficult vendor I had to work with and their unprofessionalism, false accusation towards the customer and rudeness has made me realised no one would want to work with such toxic people.

Caffino Ristorante was absolutely the perfect venue, hands down!! I had the most magical wedding and it was everything I had ever hoped and dreamed of! The rustic European feel in the heart of the city was exactly the vibe we were going for! The staff was INCREDIBLE and I wish I could re-live that moment! Highly recommend - Antoinette and Jamie, you rock!!

Our wedding at Caffino was beyond our wildest dreams. They are such professionals and took care of every last detail. The food was amazing, they were very flexible and such a breeze to work with. It was a day that we, our friends and family will never forget! Thank you Antoinette, Jaime, and Rosa!

The venue is absolutely stunning, we got a million compliments about it. You do not need a lot of decor at all because it's beautiful already so we saved there. We went over our bar bill because they charge full price for drinks so that is a con, and some of the food they promised us was replaced with something different. They cleared drinks that were still half full (probably part of why we doubled our bar bill). We had more people than they usually do so it was crowded, and did it cocktail style so they may have been a tad understaffed (our crowd was heavy drinkers) but they are very good at serving and extremely helpful. Other con is that the bathrooms only have 2 stalls so there was a lineup all night and that the free parking we were promised (and told our guests they would have) wasn't available because they were charging $10 for the TFC game. OVERALL though, LOVE the venue, it's stunning and is a hidden gem in the city, great food/drinks, beautiful alleyways for the ceremony, and I would recommend.
