Located in Calgary, Alberta, Rodney's Oyster House is a beautiful unique restaurant that specializes in providing weddings and special events. Fresh, sustainable seafood is Rodney's specialty however, we offer a wide range of other dishes for everyone's enjoyment. Celebrate your love at Rodney's Oyster House!
Facilities and capacity
The facilities found at this restaurant venue include six event spaces of varying dimensions. The Fish Camp has the best views and a capacity for up to 48 seated guests while the Engine Room can seat up to 14 guests. The Galley has vaulted ceiling and plenty of natural sunlight with their large windows and beatiful skylight which can seat up to 80 guests. The Oar Loft can accommodate up to 36 guests and the Oar Loft Bar can seat 36. The Government Wharf is a completely private space upstairs can sit up to 12 guests and the Boulder Bar & Buy Out is the largest space which can seat up to 220 guests or 400 guests for a more casual mix and mingle style wedding with stationed and passed appitizers.

The most beautiful wedding
We got married at Rodney's Oyster House Oct 5 2024 and it was an 11/10 experience. Travis Reynolds, the Events Manager was wonderful to work with and helped make our special day perfect at the restaurant. We had the ceremony, reception, open bar, plated dinner, and live band all there and the staff were incredible, the space was beautiful, food unreal (captains platter, crab cakes, lobster roll, blackened cod, and lobster tails were main highlights), and Travis was always checking in and overseeing the night. We received countless feedback from guests about how it was "the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to" and certainly the restaurant made that happen. An unsolicited review from a guest was "all the staff jumped to take pictures when they noticed a selfie going on, cleaning after discarded plates. Never waited for a drink once". We experienced the same, always attentive and made sure the night ran smooth". Leading up to the wedding we went several times and tried various dishes were were going to serve, nothing disappointed. 100% satisfaction with my 2024 wedding
Rodney’s Oyster House is the best venue to throw a kick ass party. From the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner to dancing, everything was taken care of by the venue. Travis the event coordinator was attentive and provided professional level care. The whole day was amazing because of this venue and their staff.

Our Perfect Venue
We wanted a venue that would accommodate ~130 guest, had great food and a beautiful interior that wouldn't need a lot of decorations to be beautiful. Rodney's hit all of the marks for us. The east coast vibe was perfect to remind my husband of New Brunswick, the chef worked with us to have some custom items on the menu and the entire staff did a great job. We did end up having three different wedding coordinators from the time we booked to our wedding, but there wasn't ever an issue with turnover. The restaurant is more segregated, so if you want a wide open space this isn't it, but for us it felt cozy and intimate which is exactly what we wanted. Our guests had a ton of compliments about the food and the venue.

Beautiful Venue! Delicious food!
We LOVED our wedding reception at Rodney’s Oyster House back in May 2019. It was the place where my husband brought me on our first date back in 2015. So when it came to decide where we would get married he suggested Rodney’s since it was where it all started :)
From the many emails with Maria, the bookings manager, to the tasting with our parents and actual day it was a wonderful and easy experience. Maria was super accommodating and really communicative throughout the entire process leading up the wedding day.
The FOOD is absolutely delicious, all of our guests loved every bite. Special shout out to the cod sliders and oysters that were super popular. The venue itself is so gorgeous, high ceilings, and natural light made our photos there so beautiful.
Thank you again to Rodney’s for hosting a great party to celebrate our love. We’ll be back soon!

It was the best day of my life
I can't believe our wedding has been more than a year, it was in August 2019. Planning a wedding was stressful, but Rodney made it easy for us and was really responsive and flexible. It was one of the biggest weddings (250 guests) Rodney's has ever hosted at that time but everything worked out smoothly and it was the best day of my life. The venue was beautiful and everyone had so much fun. The food was amazing as always. I highly recommend Rodney's to all couples.

Unique and beautiful venue.
Rodney's hosted our wedding of 152 people a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING. Our guests were blown away by the venue and service/food. Maria and her team are all incredible. We could not recommend Rodney's more for your wedding. It was simply wonderful!!!

My fiance and I went to a wedding last year at Rodney's. The space, atmosphere and food was absolutely amazing. We are currently looking at spaces to have our wedding next year and Rodney's is a strong contender and was highly recommended by our friends.
