Rouge Restaurant is an all-in-one venue that provides a unique and versatile space for celebrating weddings and other special occasions in Calgary, Alberta. This restaurant venue is located in the historic Cross House in Inglewood, minutes from Downtown. The house can be booked entirely, and this includes a 1-acre backyard and garden which gives brides and grooms the option of having their wedding in both an indoor and outdoor setting.
Facilities and capacity
The facilities found at Rouge Restaurant include several indoor dining rooms and a backyard garden setting with a tented patio. Action station receptions and seated banquet-style dining options are both available and the venue can accommodate up to 150 guests. Smaller weddings often take place in one of the private rooms of the Cross House. All seated dinner menus feature the option for guests to choose their dishes on the night. Summer months provide the option for an outdoor garden party under the marquee-covered patio. The indoor spaces of the house provide the perfect area for a dance party offering guests some shelter from the cool night air.

Rouge Restaurant employs a fully-trained events staff who are on-site for the setup and takedown of events. Weddings at Rouge are full-service and include both waitstaff and bartenders. The management offers couples access to a private get-ready space in addition to their main chosen room. They can help couples to put the finishing touches to their event decor with a number of rentals including tablecloths, napkins, candles, and more.

A Dream Come True
I had a lot of stress over the wedding and Rey, the events manager, made the wedding everything and more for me. She communicated regularly with me since booking the venue over a year in advance. She was so quick to answer questions and was such a help day of. Rey helped my family style my decorations inside and outside the venue. With her wedding experience, she was able to curate and organize everything so smoothly. She even ran a rehearsal for us day of so that we and our wedding party knew what to expect. There was a couple of hiccups unrelated to the venue, and Rey was right there to make sure I was okay and make sure I had everything the way I wanted it, even pivoting plans so that I could have things my way and make the day special for me and my husband.
While the food was amazing, service was fantastic and the venue so beautiful! Our wedding wouldn't have been what it was without Rey and her team, and I cannot thank them enough for that!

The Rouge features a lovely backyard garden where a large tent is set up, providing a perfect setting for both ceremonies and receptions. The space is beautifully designed, offering various picturesque backdrops within the venue and plenty of nearby locations within walking distance for stunning wedding party photos.
The staff at The Rouge were exceptional. Their organization and attention to detail ensured everything ran smoothly and on time. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating, making my job much easier.
The overall vibe of The Rouge is one of warmth and sophistication, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes both guests and vendors feel comfortable. I highly recommend this venue for any couple looking to create unforgettable memories on their special day.
