  Amazing venue!

  From the planning process, to the night itself, the team at Shaughnessy were so attentive to our needs and extremely easy to work with. They were very supportive in helping us make decisions, and customize their restaurant to how we wanted it to be for our wedding.
  
  The night of the wedding was incredible, management and service staff went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. All of our guests were raving about the staff and the food and drinks at every chance they got. The team seamlessly executed everything, from ceremony set up, into cocktail hour, into dinner, into late night partying.
  
  They know how to throw a good wedding!

  From the planning process, to the night itself, the team at Shaughnessy were so attentive to our needs and extremely easy to work with. They were very supportive in helping us make decisions, and customize their restaurant to how we wanted it to be for our wedding.
  
  The night of the wedding was incredible, management and service staff went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. All of our guests were raving about the staff and the food and drinks at every chance they got. The team seamlessly executed everything, from ceremony set up, into cocktail hour, into dinner, into late night partying.

  Intimate and wholesome, perfect for our wedding

  Our wedding journey with Shaughnessy was smooth right from the start. From their incredibly friendly staff serving us on the day, to the numerous communications with their events coordinator--every single interaction we received felt like they were our own family. Shaughnessy made planning a breeze: they were always timely and accommodating to our requests, and flexible with payment plans too! We loved the food and drinks from all parts of the evening--our signature drinks were a huge hit. We could not have chosen a more professional, intimate, and convenient location to hold our wedding.

  Wonderful venue backed by a great team

  From the start to finish, Carlle and the team at Shaughnessy Restaurant were incredible and it helped us feel supported and prepared throughout the process. We appreciated how clear, helpful, and responsive Carlle was. She often provided great recommendations and answers to our questions, helping us move forward. Milan was very approachable, friendly, and helpful at the venue. They responded really well to our needs. It was great working with them.

  Great venue!

  The Shaughnessy staff both on site and behind the scenes were super helpful. We really appreciated how efficient and helpful Carlle was behind the scenes. Thank you to Karen for taking the time to help us figure out our wedding slide show during the rehearsal! We would definitely recommend using this venue.

  A wonderful wedding venue

  You were recently recently married at the Shaughnessy restaurant. We had our dinner reception there. When we initially met with the restaurant staff, the manager Milan gave us a tour. He immediately made us feel at home and we knew right away. It was the right place for us to have our special day with our friends and family. The wedding was nothing spectacular. Carly, the coordinator was very organized. The food was absolutely incredible, the service astounding, And don’t even get started on the drinks! The staff meet us feel like we were family. I never had an empty glass of Prosecco the entire night. I would 100% recommend this venue for anyone with about 100 people looking for an intimate gathering with a summer garden vibe.
  
  An added bonus to this venue is that it is obviously attached to VanDusen Gardens. When you get to the gardens, you can purchase a photo pass for your group and take the most amazing wedding photos steps away from your venue. This made such a difference on our day To be so close and so easy.
  
  Note, if you do get married in August as we did, would I recommend bringing extra fans as it is hot and there is no air conditioning. Even though it was warm, it didn’t matter because it was such a spectacular evening.

  Highly Recommended

  We did a lot of research about where to do our wedding, and settled on Shaughnessy Restaurant, which turned out to be a great decision. For one, the staff are incredibly accommodating at every step of the way, and are flexible to last minute changes and special requests. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is very good. The bar prepared specialty cocktails for our guests, and overall it was a lot more affordable than some of the other options out there. I'm not sure you'll find a better spot in the city that does it all (liquor primary, food, furniture, bridal suite, help with planning). We would highly recommend Shaughnessy Restaurant to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

  Amazing service and beautiful venue

  Shaughnessy Restaurant is a beautiful space. We had an absolutely magical wedding reception here. You really don’t have to spend a lot or do a lot for decor to make this venue look good because it’s natural already so aesthetically pleasing, especially with Vandusen Gardens as a backdrop. We loved having our first dance on the patio space as well, it was truly unforgettable. Not only that, but the service we received from staff that night was great. I had many guests mention that it was the best service they had experienced at any wedding they’ve attended. I highly recommended Shaughnessy Restaurant if you’re looking for the perfect venue!

  Perfect day at Shaughnessy

  My new husband and I recently got married at Shaughnessy and I can’t speak highly enough about the venue and the staff. Everything was absolutely flawless, and we got SO many compliments on the venue. My (single) bridesmaids said they want to get married at Shaughnessy one day, hahah :) Everything was perfect and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Shaughnessy to anyone. Thank you for making our wedding day such a dream!

  Everything we could have hoped for!

  We had an amazing experience doing our wedding with Shaugnessy restaurant. Their coordinator was a pleasure to work with in the lead-up to the wedding and was a big help with the planning process!
  
  The venue was stunningly beautiful and the staff were incredibly nice and professional - service for everyone was prompt, they took extra care to make sure we had what we needed on our wedding day - for example leaving a plate of ordures in our getting ready room to snack on after the ceremony, or establishing a code to order something non-alcoholic if we were being pushed to order more than we wanted to have - and setup/teardown of the various parts of the restaurant throughout the event was fast and smooth!
  
  Food and drink was unbelievably good - many, many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had (and this was just the base-level menu!).
  
  Also, absolutely clutch that we were able to open some big windows and get cool air in on the dancefloor - was a huge part of keeping the fun going all night!
  
  All this and the cost was ultimately very reasonable too! The bar did a great job of keeping alcohol costs reasonable while also making sure everyone was having an excellent time!
  
  We would highly, highly recommend using Shaugnessy for any wedding.

  Spring garden wedding venue!

  Hosting our wedding at Shaughnessy Restaurant was the best decision! We had an April spring wedding and having a venue nestled in the greenery and flowers of Van Dusen Gardens provided a great backdrop and gave a chance for our guests to explore. The restaurant was very responsive with our emails and detailed with their responses. They were super easy to work and walked with us every step of our planning. This was key as we were planning our wedding virtually from eastern Canada. Shaughnessy provided exceptional food and service and guests continue to tell me about how much they loved the whole experience. If you are looking for a beautiful garden style reception venue, we'd highly recommend this place!
