Seamless coordination, beautiful setting and the perfect wedding day

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Granite Brewery & Tied House. From the initial planning stages to the day of our wedding, Sam and his team made the entire process effortless, handling every detail with a level of professionalism and care that put us at ease. Sam was incredibly accommodating, always ensuring that all our requests were met and even going the extra mile to make our day truly special. On the day itself, Owen was fantastic, running the show smoothly and making sure everything went off without a hitch.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Granite Brewery & Tied House. From the initial planning stages to the day of our wedding, Sam and his team made the entire process effortless, handling every detail with a level of professionalism and care that put us at ease. Sam was incredibly accommodating, always ensuring that all our requests were met and even going the extra mile to make our day truly special. On the day itself, Owen was fantastic, running the show smoothly and making sure everything went off without a hitch.

Our guests loved the food and raved about the variety of drinks — from their house ales to the specialty beers, there was something for everyone. Granite Brewery’s longstanding reputation as one of Toronto’s original craft breweries speaks to their dedication to quality, and it really showed in both their hospitality and their menu offerings.

We’re so grateful to the entire team for making our day as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. We would highly recommend Granite Brewery & Tied House to anyone looking for a venue that combines excellent service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Easy, flawless wedding

Sam and his team are pros. They made it so incredibly easy to plan a wedding there, the courtyard was beautiful for the ceremony, the room looked lovely, the staff was fantastic, having the covered patio was excellent. We were shocked at how easy it was to find all information we needed on the website and how quick and helpful Sam was throughout. We also had many people sound pleasantly surprised when they told us how much they enjoyed the food. Way more delicious than you expect from a wedding buffet at a pub.

To sum up the level of thoughtfulness: we opened our card box the next morning to find they had slipped in a card signed by the team and a gift card. Highly recommend for any event!

Outstanding venue with world class service

The crew at the granite is beyond measure. They are creative, understanding, effective, timely and experienced with large groups and weddings. Sam worked closely with us to hammer out details, complete tastings and ensure we were well taken care of at each phase of planning and execution.

The courtyard is unmatched in midtown, providing a quiet oasis against the endless construction and traffic of the area. Even with light rain the morning of, it wasn't muddy and no guests got bogged down. Additionally, the venue is well suited to beautiful photos that look like they were taken anywhere other than midtown.

The value for money is also unparalleled. The food was delicious and the staff were on their a-game. I will absolutely recommend the granite to anyone who will listen, and twice to those who won't.

Best venue for that intimate feel....

I am in awe how beautiful this venue is for that intimate feel we were aiming for. The ceremony space is beautiful, the food was great, the overall experience planning including the day of seemed to be so easy flowing. Thank you Sam and staff for being amazing! Our guests really enjoyed it.

Incredible Venue and Best Staff!

Granite Brewery & Tied House is an incredible restaurant, brewery and wedding venue! My husband and I have always loved Granite, so when it came time to plan our wedding they were an obvious choice for us. Sam made the planning process so smooth as he was always responsive and so detailed in his answers to any questions we had. We were able to do a tasting in advance to help narrow down our menu choices, and Sam helped guide us along the way with any decisions that needed to be made. Granite Brewery & Tied House is an incredible restaurant, brewery and wedding venue! My husband and I have always loved Granite, so when it came time to plan our wedding they were an obvious choice for us. Sam made the planning process so smooth as he was always responsive and so detailed in his answers to any questions we had. We were able to do a tasting in advance to help narrow down our menu choices, and Sam helped guide us along the way with any decisions that needed to be made. The Granite staff really made us feel like everything was going to be taken care of and reduced a lot of potential stress leading up to the big day.

We requested to have a rehearsal dinner at Granite the night before the wedding, and they were so accommodating. We were able to practice the ceremony, and a table was set up on the back patio for us to have dinner afterwards. Chris introduced himself to us as the lead staff that would be taking care of us for both the rehearsal and the wedding. He is absolutely incredible and was a pleasure to work with. He ensured that the service was excellent, and really made us feel at ease.

The wedding day at Granite went even better than I could have ever imagined! The Granite staff were all so helpful in getting the venue set up in the afternoon. The space is already beautiful, so we only needed to bring minimal decorations and it really felt like a beautiful wedding space. They have access to a gorgeous courtyard right behind the restaurant where the ceremony took place. Then the back patio was used for cocktail hour, before moving inside the restaurant for the reception. It was incredible to be able to have everything all in one venue so our guests didn’t have to travel, while still feeling like there was a great flow to the evening getting to move between the three different spaces.

We chose to do the plated dinner, and the food and drinks were absolutely amazing. We had guests come up to us after to compliment how good the food was, and talk about how impressed they were with the service. Chris was incredible and really kept the whole reception flowing so smoothly, while also connecting with our other vendors to keep them informed of the timing between each course. After dinner, the dance floor opened and our guests had a great time! I loved that there was a dancefloor for any guests that wanted to dance, but there was also the back patio available for any guests that wanted to relax in a quieter space and just chat instead. The whole day felt so wonderful and intimate, and a big part of that was Granite being such an incredible venue and the staff making everything run so smoothly. I would absolutely recommend Granite to anyone considering it for their wedding venue!

The Granite Brewery and team were amazing to work with. We were quite stressed with the amount of planning we had to do for our wedding. Thankfully we were collaborating with Sam, who helped us plan every step of the way. We felt relieved after he explained what he and his team could offer, and communicated with us regularly (even during his vacation time, which was just outstanding). He and his team were very accommodating as they were ready to assist us with anything we needed, even last-minute changes. Without their flexibility, we could not have had such a beautiful and unforgettable wedding. Amazing Experience

Wedding: We had our wedding at the Granite in mid-October 2022 and cannot say enough good things about our experience. We originally met with Ron in November 2021 to view the venue, discuss dates and options as we do not live in the GTA (but both our families do). Needless to say, that first meeting went great & we locked in our date. During the months leading up to the wedding we were dealing with Sam who was more than helpful with all of our questions and getting everything in order for us. Again, being located in Ottawa and only using email & phone calls to communicate worked great for us and our minds were at ease. A couple...

Wedding: We had our wedding at the Granite in mid-October 2022 and cannot say enough good things about our experience. We originally met with Ron in November 2021 to view the venue, discuss dates and options as we do not live in the GTA (but both our families do). Needless to say, that first meeting went great & we locked in our date. During the months leading up to the wedding we were dealing with Sam who was more than helpful with all of our questions and getting everything in order for us. Again, being located in Ottawa and only using email & phone calls to communicate worked great for us and our minds were at ease. A couple days before the event we met with Chris (manager) to drop off some decorations and discuss the final few items (seating, final numbers, food allergies, etc.), and he was very professional with us, and you could see he knew what he was doing (I think he said it was their 35th wedding of the year, so that tells you a few things).

Day of the wedding, everything went seamlessly, all was well organized with the guests being seated in the courtyard for the ceremony, followed by cocktails under the tent afterwards. Dinner service was also well organized (buffet), the food was fantastic, and there was more than enough for all of our guests, a lot of which went for second helpings. Desserts, coffee, tea, etc were all served immediately after dinner and all tasted great as well. We did late night snacks as well, which were appreciated by all of our guests and Sam's recommendations for the amounts to order were spot on. Drink services were well done all evening with no one waiting too long at any point. All of our guests have been complimenting how good the venue was, the staff, the food, and the atmosphere.

We would have absolutely no concerns in recommending the Granite for someone's wedding in the future.

Amazing service, food, and experience at a great price

We had out wedding at the granite in September of 2022 and it was absolutely PHENOMENAL. The staff were amazing, the food delicious and they served good sized portions (not too big or too small). The team was incredibly responsive in the planning process and flawlessly executed the vision on the day-of. Really great, nothing bad to say. Oh, and lastly - it was a very fair and reasonable price. A total gem - we got service beyond what we would have expected and felt good about supporting a local business with a long history in the neighbourhood. Win-win!
