The Iron Goat is located in the stunning Canadian Rocky Mountains, just an hour's drive from Calgary. The restaurant was crafted to embody the charm of a traditional mountain ski lodge, featuring expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, striking timber frame construction, and soaring cathedral ceilings. It is our belief that a wedding should reflect the couple in every way. From menu selection to the floor plan, we want your input to create a day that is distinctly you. Whether you are looking for an extravagant event or an intimate evening with close family and friends, allow us to help create the wedding of your dreams.

Facilities and Capacities

Lower Dining Room:

This cozy private room is located downstairs, adjacent to the stunning wine cellar. This room features elongated wooden tables, a gallery wall adorned with photographs, and windows that provide a view into the wine cellar, making it an ideal setting for hosting a private and intimate wedding rehearsal dinner, or post wedding dinner celebrations.

Accommodates: 20 Guests
Dining Options: Set Menu, Family Style Dining, or Standing Mix and Mingle

Upper Patio:

Our exclusive upper-level patio offers stunning views of Canmore’s renowned mountains, including the Three Sisters. This space is completely covered and equipped with heaters and a charming rustic chandelier. It serves as an ideal setting to appreciate the scenery, breathe in the fresh mountain air, savor exquisite cuisine, and enjoy the company of family and friends on your special day.

Accommodates: 24 guests
Dining options: Set Menu, Family-Style Dining, or Standing Mix and Mingle with a private bar.

The Loft:

The Loft is a beautiful, self-contained event space with panoramic views of the mountains through floor to ceiling windows. It features access to the upper patio, same-floor washrooms, a private bar and space for a dancefloor. The loft provides a vantage point over the main floor and the impressive two-story fireplace, creating a stunning backdrop for any event. It presents numerous options for reconfiguration, allowing you to customize the space to suit your specific requirements and achieve the ideal arrangement for your wedding day.

Accommodates: 60-70 guests
Dining options: Set menu, Buffet, Family-Style Dining or Standing Mix and Mingle with a private bar

Special Considerations: Music and microphone volume cannot interfere with other guests and is managed at the discretion of the venue manager.

Entire Venue:

Experience the ease of having all your desires and necessities conveniently located in one stunning setting. Relish the exclusive use of the entire venue, including both patios. Celebrate your ceremony with stunning mountain views, savor exquisite cuisine, and dance the night away.

Accommodates: 100-130 guests
Dining Options: Set Menu, Buffet, Family Style Dining or Standing Mix and Mingle

Special Considerations:
The space is yours for the day, which allows for ample time for the set-up of decor, vendors and photos.

Non-Private Events:

The Iron Goat offers ample space, making it an ideal venue for groups of any size. For non-private reservations, there is no minimum food and beverage spend, however Family Style Menu is required. Your group will be seated together upon arrival (no cocktail/standing space). Reservations are available at select times only, 5:15pm or earlier, & 7:45pm or later, and are subject to a 2-hour time limit. Microphones and music are not permitted. This choice is ideal for those seeking a casual wedding rehearsal dinner that minimizes both financial expenditure and the time required for planning.

Confirmation of final guest count must be given 1 week prior to the event. You will be charged for the number of guest which is confirmed, unless more arrive than expected. If this is to occur, you will then be billed for each individual over the confirmed number of guests. Please note that we may not have space for extra guests that have not been confirmed.

The Fine Print

For all packages : Add 5% GST & 20% Service Charge

We encourage you to personalize your table decor; however, please note that the setup and removal of decorations will be your responsibility. At the conclusion of your event, it is essential that all items are gathered and removed, unless alternative arrangements have been made. Should you choose to bring your own wine, please be informed that a corkage fee of $20 will be applied for each bottle. If you wish to bring your own dessert, such as cake or cupcakes, please note that there will be a fee of $6.00 per person.

Lower Dining Room: Earliest access for event set-up/ start is 4pm. Last call is 9:45pm, with an event finish at 10pm
Upper Patio: Earliest access for the event set-up/ start is 4pm. Last call is 9:45pm, with an event finish at 10pm
The Loft: Earliest access for the event set-up/ start is 4pm. Last call is 11:45pm, with an event finish at 12:30am
Entire Venue: Earliest access for the event set-up/ start is 10am. Last call is 12:45am, with an event finish at 1:30am
