Experience

Vij's Restaurant is the glorious result of the combined effort of Vikram and Meeru. Born in India, his passion for food led Vikram to Salzburg to gain hotel management degree, later he continued working at various famous restaurants in Austria, and also at the Banff Springs Hotel, Canada. Meeru grew up in Washington and has worked in various origanisations for human rights and development projects. She has a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Bath University in England.

Vij's Restaurant gained its first award in 1995 for Best Asian restaurant from Vancouver magazine. After changing to a bigger location, Meeru took over the kitchen, while Vikram focused on the running of the establishment and in 2001, he became a certified Sommelier.

Facilities and capacity

Vij's Restaurant offers a unique venue, which was designed by Marc Bricault, taking inspiration from the Indian jewellery box. The whole design was custom created by Vancouver based artisans, and it offers a perfect setting for conducting a stunning and elegant wedding celebration.
