We were very happy with the hall for the whole weekend, it’s a beautiful place and has a lot of room. We liked that there is some camping spots that are right in the same parking lot for our guests to stay in so no one was drinking and driving. Would definitely book this place again for another function.

The Bowden Community Hall is a modern and neutral space that serves as the perfect blank canvas for hosting a wedding and really making it your own. The days leading up to your wedding are stressful, but dealing with Kim Urichuk with the Bowden Community Hall definitely helped alleviate some of the pressure. She was eager to answer any questions I had throughout the planning process and assisted me in any way she could. Kim helped me find a safe shuttle from Bowden back into Olds, she took measurements for decor purposes, and she met us on multiple occasions so we could view the hall. This venue is perfect for those who want flexibility in planning their wedding reception. The hall is available at an affordable weekend rate (Friday at noon to Sunday at 4 p.m.), which helps with decorating time and any other prep you need to do. The hall also allows you to bring in your own caterers and liquor, so you can use whomever you want for the meal and bar. There is a brand new commercial kitchen stocked with all the dishes you need (less wine glasses). There is also a brand new sound system and projector built into the hall for those running a slideshow during their reception. For onsite accommodations, camping is available with hook-ups (hook-ups are a small fee). If your guests wish to get a hotel room instead, Olds or Innisfail are only 10 minutes away and Kim can help you organize an affordable safe shuttle. The Bowden Hall is a gorgeous space with brand new amenities and an excellent Coordinator. I looked far and wide for a suitable reception venue and I am so happy that I found this one!

we came accross the hall while moving, we ended up booking for our wedding aug 3 2019! had a ton of complements on the hall, by all vendors and guests alike!! it was so simple and clean, easy to work with, and sooo many options to be held in the building!!

The lady who deals with the hall is very nice but she told us a lot of stuff was included and then 2 weeks before the wedding told us we had to pay. Things like the kitchen ($25/hr to use) the shuttle service ($300+ - this one annoyed us a lot being in Bowden and no taxis so we were blindsided by that)

She also didn’t give us our damage deposit back so after a week I messaged her and then had it returned in a few hours. Makes me wonder if they weren’t going to return it.
