Perfect Wedding Venue
Our wedding day experience
Although there were many hiccups within the process of planning our wedding, lack of communication at times and certain things upon discussion that were not meant such as complimentary bowls of bunch that were not served at all, and drink ticket mix ups with our guests they made up for it in other ways.
Our guests had a blast and absolutely loved the food! This venue was the perfect location for our special day!

Beautiful venue
We had our ceremony there and Asuka and her team were so flexible. They set up the chairs outside just in case the weather turned around and it did! So we managed to have our ceremony outside.
The back patio was beautiful with the string lights and the cherry blossom in full bloom. I only wish it was a little warmer in April so we could’ve utilized the back patio.
It was also hassle free. They did a lot of the set up for us and connected us with someone who did the chair covers and sashes for us. We just had to bring in our center pieces and whatever other decor we wanted.
So many people commented on what a beautiful venue it was. We’re already trying to figure out what our next big event could be there.

Meet the team
I joined the City of Burnaby's Food Burnaby division in 2014, after working in sales for the wine industry where I was responsible for ensuring events and processes were as smooth as possible. I am a master planner when it comes to events and love helping guests at the Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse. My favourite part of the job is dealing with people and ensuring that my customers are happy - whether it’s at the restaurant or an event.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, I am a seasoned expert when it comes to helping clients plan their next big event - from corporate gatherings to grand weddings and everything in between. I was previously the manager of Eagle Creek Restaurant (as Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse was then known) for nearly two decades. My favourite part of the job is all about the people - our clients and our team.
Under my leadership as Executive Chef, both the Riverway and Burnaby Mountain Clubhouses have become among the city’s most popular and highly-regarded dining establishments.
Throughout my culinary career, I've earned numerous awards and recognitions. I love to create ever-evolving menus inspired by the fresh bounty and seasonal ingredients of the West Coast, and influenced by my own French culinary experience.
