A Dream Come True
RedCrest Cardinal is a gorgeous venue and after you go there in person it will not take much convincing because the landscape, simple beauties and organic environment speak for itself. Anne Marie (who is the Sales Director and our event coordinator) was our Wedding Fairy Godmother. We clicked with her right from the beginning because her expertise, understanding, patience, patience...and did I mention - PATIENCE, were all bundled under a motherly care. She never made us feel bad about any of our requests and it was a pure joy to walk through wedding planning with her. The staff were so helpful and thanks to them, the day ran without a hitch. The ceremony was under the pergola with a small pond as the backdrop and it was breathtaking. The sound of our live musicians were caught perfectly in that space and the assistance of the golf carts offered our guests ease of access. Our cocktail hour split between the patio and the Clubhouse which gave our guests options and lots of room to mingle comfortably. Our reception was in the tent and perfectly fit our 135 guests between round tables and harvest tables. Our family and friends said it was one of the best weddings they had been to and spoke to the abundance and quality of the food and the kind service. We look back on our Wedding Day with full hearts and gratitude that RedCrest was the home to our best and favourite day. Thank You RC! Never get married here!
I would never recommend having a wedding at Redcrest or Cardinal. They are greedy and do not care at all about people or their weddings. A few months before our wedding they fired the catering company and coordinators and cut off all communication with the couples getting married there. Finally we heard from them and they told everyone that we should find our own caterers, servers, and that they wouldn’t even provide napkins or tablecloths anymore. Our contract meant nothing to them anymore, they said regardless they would have increased the cost of catering on us by at least 20%. We ended up having to spend thousands of dollars more than what we agreed to in our contract for catering/servers and a day of coordinator. This was the most stressful experience and they ruined our wedding. Please do not get married here or Cardinal golf club, I don’t want anyone to ever have to go through this again!I would never recommend having a wedding at Redcrest or Cardinal. Hello Melissa,
We hear your concerns and frustration and we are deeply sorry that you had to go through some of the worst planning and organizing to a day that is suppose to be so special to you, your family and friends.
We have been in the process of rebuilding key personnel within the Cardinal Golf Groups operation. We are committed to regain faith, trust and professionalism from all our future weddings held at any of our clubs. We have learned from experiences coming out of covid such as yours and we have listened and absorbed the information and frustration that you have expressed in your review and have taken the proper steps to ensure that this will never happen again.
Not only have we made huge leaps in making sure we find the right leaders in the hospitality field but we have also created a system that will never allow for this kind of path to be recreated within our organization.
We value our customers as they should always be put first and we are deeply sorry that you had to go through such difficult process leading up to your big day.
All the best in your future together and please keep in touch as you make memorable moments as husband & wife.

Poor Planning Post-Covid
We had an awful time with this venue. We booked Redcrest back in January 2020 prior to the Covid pandemic when they were under a different management company. We had heard great things about this venue - including the food, wedding planning and coordination. It is a beautiful location.
After patiently waiting out the worst of the pandemic for two years, my partner and I were finally able to have our celebration of marriage at this venue in June 2022. Prior to our wedding date though we went through many significant challenges with this venue. In March 2022 we attended a food tasting and were matched with a wedding coordinator through the venue - then two weeks later we were informed that the catering company was fired along with the coordinator. We waited patiently for two months and heard nothing from the venue despite multiple communications with them, before finally being matched with a
a new wedding coordinator in May 2022. Thankfully all seemed to be going well as they had the catering organized for the event which was our most significant concern. However, 3 days before our wedding we were informed that this new wedding coordinator had been fired by the venue, with no back up plan in place! Thankfully our wedding was still able to go forward - had it not been for the chef and golf services manager at the venue who pulled in many hours overtime to put our special day together. The wedding was great and all of our guests had a wonderful time.
This being said it was not worth the stress of having to go through this. I really highly recommend for couples to steer clear of this venue. While it is a beautiful space, the new management there cares little about their staff and will cut corners at any cost. Hello Talitha,
First and foremost, congratulations on your recent wedding. We are happy you finally where able to celebrate and enjoy the day with your family and friends.
We understand the road to your big day was not as you had planned and unfortunately you and your family had to leap over some hurdles along the way to which created a very unpleasant planning journey. Although we cannot go back and change this for you, I would like to let you know that we have made some amazing progress in the past few months by hiring the proper professional industry personnel to make sure the road leading up to anyone’s big day is a much more pleasant with very few challenges so their wedding at our property is a memorable one.
We strive for the best and we are aware that we have made some mistakes in how we handled a few weddings coming out of covid but have taken the proper steps and commitment to our customers to make sure we never let these kinds of issues arise again.
Thanks for your patience and commitment that you and your family brought forth during the planning of your big day. We are ultimately glad to hear that our team was able to provide you with the wedding of your dreams on the day itself. We sure did work hard to make all the pain you went through during the planning process disappear as best we could on the big day and being there at the forefront, I sure did see the smiles and excitement in both yourself and your husband.
All the best in your future together and please keep in touch as you make memorable moments as husband & wife.

This has been a long road
We hired Cardinal back in September of 2020 when there were promises of great food, service and overall look. One of the many reasons we chose Cardinal was because it looked like a great venue- you didn’t need much in terms of decor so figured it was a great cost effective venue as it was all encompassing (great price for food, great venue coordinator team and experienced team). Little did we know that the main Venue coordinator/team would leave, the chef gone, and the replacement catering service company would be fired). Right when we thought the team had everything figured out, there was a big menu tasting, 2 days later we get notified that the team has been fired and they’ll be in touch when they have a new team. 2 months go by and we still don’t hear anything- we finally get word that they hired a wedding coordinator and a chef, but the chef wouldn’t do wedding food. We were told by head of operations it was in our best interest to hire an external catering company (at the same time the new wedding coordinator also left). With that suggestion, we also looked into an external wedding planner. So our total budget increased drastically and the team at Cardinal had no care or sense of helping making our big day special.
Honestly, the entire experience with this venue was so poor and it made the wedding planning experience so much more stressful than it needed to be
The look of the venue is great, but if I had one suggestion for any new bride if you go with the venue, make sure you have a wedding planner that will handle everything (including communication with the venue).

Cardinal Golf Club & RedCrest's reply:
Hello Jennifer,
Wedding planning shouldn’t be like this, we really do feel your pain in this process and what you have had to go through is completely unacceptable. Your words as we read them really do strike a nerve that a customer, a valued patron and someone who was beginning the best part of there lives with our club’s family had to go though all of this in order to be married and start the next chapter of their lives.
Your journey to a new beginning in your life was interrupted by the unprofessionalism that our club exhibited and I am truly sorry that you had to experience this first hand. Coming out of covid definitely created some struggles for us with major staff turnover and some decisions that were made that ultimately shouldn’t have been.
We are dedicated and have worked tirelessly to make sure this does not happen again moving forward. We have hired some incredibly knowledgeable professional hospitality leaders to lead the F&B department so these types of issues don’t happen in the future.
We do value our customers and want to make sure that every wedding moving forward is treated with the upmost clarity and honesty as well as the special treatment that should be involved during the process.
Thank you again, Jennifer and all the best in your future together and please keep in touch as you make memorable moments as husband & wife.

Poor Covid Plans
We initially had our wedding booked for July 2020 at RedCrest, which we postponed to June 2021 due to Covid. Since signing the contract, the wedding coordinator contact has changed three times. There has been a huge breakdown in communication and the venue has not been accomodating to current restrictions. In February 2021, we were told that RedCrest would only be hosting 20 person weddings this year, even if government restrictions allowed more at the time. We were also told that their air conditioning fans do not meet covid restrictions and therefore, should we proceed with a 20 person wedding, no air conditioning would be available (not comfortable for an outdoor wedding in late June wedding). The communication we received was disjointed, confusing, and ultimately rude considering the stress of the current situation. The venue's priority is golf, and clearly not the weddings for which they have contracts...very disappointing because it is such a beautiful venue. We would encourage other couples to not run into the issues we have!! We are very happy to now be booked elsewhere for our special day.We initially had our wedding booked for July 2020 at RedCrest, which we postponed to June 2021 due to Covid. Dear Stephanie and Alex,
Thank you for your email and feedback. We acknowledge your disappointment with our decision not to host your wedding and we are truly sorry.
We hope upon further reflection you can appreciate our difficult decision not to host your wedding as the worst case scenario of having someone become another statistic to this deadly virus was not something we could live with. In the end, we chose the safety of your guests and staff over the virus.
We are happy to see that you accepted the full refund for your event. We wish you and your spouse all the best as you embark on this new journey of life together.
Sincerely,
Gina Morrison

Redcrest Golf Club
Rob, Anne Marie and staff: I have nothing but positive comments for RedCrest Golf Club. From the beginning stages of sourcing information and planning our event we always received answers to our questions in a timely and professional manner. From set up to tear down Redcrest could not have been more helpful. The facility was clean and well organized. Many of our guests commented on the quality of the food and its presentation. The bar staff were friendly and attentive to our guests. Anne Marie thank you for all the attention to detail you provided the day of. It was greatly appreciated. Perfect Event! - Engagement Party in the Executive Lounge
We had the most perfect evening at Cardinal Golf Club Executive Lounge! It was cozy, clean and exactly what we had envisioned. There was plenty of space for the tables, dance floor, DJ and Photo booth activities! The food was amazing and the servers working the event were polite and courteous. There is no initial venue/site fee unless you can't meet the minimum capacity of the space which was an added bonus! The overall experience was perfect and many of my guests loved the entire event ! Dream of a venue
We got married at Redcrest in July and it was everything we could have dreamed and more. Anne-Marie is exactly the kind of woman you want on your team while wedding planning. Rave Review for Redcrest
We were very pleased with our son’s wedding at Redcrest. From the time we went to preview the venue to the wedding day, all our questions and requests were well attended to. AnneMarie was very easy to talk to with her warm and caring style. Professional from the very start, she worked really hard to understand the kind of day we wanted. She listened and offered suggestions and advice that were very helpful. She works with an amazing team. The chef was excellent as the food was superb and plentiful. Even Nonna raved about the food! The staff the entire day was attentive, very pleasant and efficient. We were able to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the water followed by a lovely reception in the marquis tent. The staff did an amazing job at making it look elegant and welcoming! Many of our guests commented on what a picturesque venue Redcrest was and that they had a wonderful time. We are so happy that our son and his wife got married there as we have such wonderful memories of this special event for us. Many thanks to AnneMarie and her dedicated team!
