Radisson hotel to accommodate the guests, great arrangements at lower level for pre wedding functions , outdoor wedding experience in gazebo at roof top and Super grand reception in the spectacular Grand Victorian hall !!!

To add more to the experience was sumptuous food with wide variety of cuisine from all over, prepared by a great chef and his team and excellent customer service with personal touch, under the leadership of the owner himself, Mr. Dewinder Sidhu and Seema !!!

We had guests from all across the globe and they had ball of the time to cherish it for rest of their lives !!!

We are ever grateful to our wedding planner and great friend Karan for recommending this place to us and connecting us with Mr. Dewinder and his crew !

The Grand Victorian Convention Centre was the absolute most perfect venue we could have chosen for our Wedding! We worked with Seema who was always very responsive to emails and phone calls and was always so accommodating for any of our requests! The venue is GORGEOUS! It’s so decorative already so minimal decorations were needed in addition, the food was fantastic and having a hotel attached to the venue made stumbling to bed so much easier! We got a night in the honeymoon suite for free with the reception and we used it to have myself and my bridesmaids get ready and there was plenty of room for getting ready, hair, makeup and photos! It was perfect! Our reception was beyond amazing and Grand Victorian and their team truly made it an evening to remember! Thank you so much for everything!

We recently had our wedding reception in the main hall of the Grand Victorian convention centre. It truly was a magical night, with fantastic food, service, venue and especially, people. The list of things we could rave about would exceed the maximum number of words for a review, so here are a few highlights to show you why you should definitely book this venue for your event:

Food
The food was nothing short of fantastic. We opted for the Indian premium menu, and it was some of the best food we’ve had in the city. One of the hotel workers warned us, “the butter chicken is the best in Canada”, and he was probably right! The desserts were great, the chocolate fountain was a crowd pleaser and bar was well stocked.
A few highlights (too many to list):
A lot of people raved about the goat curry days after our event. Fully boneless, tasty, and perfectly cooked.
The paneer was the bride’s favourite, reminded her of her mom’s cooking (VERY high praise).
We have no idea how they kept the texture of the koftas perfect in a buffet setting. They’re hiding some magic in that kitchen.

Service
The service was phenomenal! The owner Dewinder and his lead coordinator, Seema were instrumental both in the planning stages and on the day of. They’re both busy people, and might sometimes be hard to get ahold of, but trust them, they always come through. Also everyone, from the bartenders to the waiters and cleanup staff, were all exceptionally friendly and professional. There wasn’t a single complaint from any guest, and a lot of praise.

Venue
The Grand Victorian main hall is spectacular, especially when lit up with all of their advanced lighting systems. The use of the main hall for tables/dancing, the foyer for quieter activities (dessert/photobooth) and the a separate buffet service area did a great job keeping the guests fed, entertained and organised. Our event sat about 360 people very comfortably, and could easily fit quite a few more. The fine details (table cloths, napkins, centrepieces, etc) were tasteful and well made, we recommend coordinating these details through the Hall instead of an external decorator. The stage was sturdy, and readily customised within 4ft x 4ft blocks, which allowed us to effectively use the space and accommodate what we wanted. Having a hotel attached to the venue was really convenient, and our stay there in the spacious rooms was very pleasant.

Personal
On a personal note, our biggest takeaway was how dedicated the whole staff, especially Dewinder and Seema, were to making our event a huge success. Both of them put in a lot of hours planning with us beforehand, and executing for us on the night of. Dewinder is a guy you can trust, a rare quality. He truly came through for us on multiple occasions, and magically solved what seemed like impossible problems before and including the day of. Even after the event was over, he personally followed up with us the next day for feedback. It’s this personal touch, and drive for perfection that we really admire, and what leads us to heartily recommend putting your special event in Dewinder’s hands.

DO NOT GO WITH THEM. Dont waste your time with these people, you will end up loosing your money. Completely unreliable

My husband and I got married at the Grand Victorian on June 25th, 2022 and it was the most magical day thanks to Dewinder and Seema. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and our guests were raving about the food. We did a buffet dinner and got several compliments on how amazing the dinner, dessert and late night snack was. They did a fantastic job making sure everything was seamless and there were no hiccups on the day of. We walked into the venue and were in awe of how beautifully decorated it was and they made sure it was everything we could have ever imagined! Thank you Dewinder and Seema for the most perfect wedding day, it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. We will definitely recommend the Grand Victorian to anyone looking for a venue and wants great service!

My son recently got married at this venue. It is a great and beautiful place for marriage. The ambience, decoration. quality of food and service was excellent. Every guest has enjoyed the function and appreciated the venue and quality of food and service. Both Devendra and Ms. Seema has a very professional and cooperative approach which resulted in great marriage functions. We would like to again use the services of Mr. Devendra for our functions at this venue.

So many issues, not even sure where to start. I can just say I'm glad I decided not to go with this vendor.
They never pick up their phone. Took months and months to go over the contract. When I was ready to sign it took weeks to even have the contract sent. This was unbelievably frustrating.

So Many empty promises. I found myself extremely frustrated and that is no way to have the ceremony venue treat you when it's supposed to be a happy day of your life.

Dealt with many other vendors and found their responses to be reasonable and was enjoyable speaking with them. I even told Dewinder that he wasn't responding at times that we both agreed on and that this was a bad way to provide service. Still not change in his actions. I'm glad I don't have to deal with this nonsense. I will never recommend this place.

My one advice, judge this vendor by their actions, not their word.

These guys are very sketchy. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Dewinder makes alot of promises and then doesn't answer his phone. I have been trying to reach him for 2 months! He shuts my calls and then texts me that he'll call back, never does!

Seema comes off as a nice person but watch out!!!!!

Don't fall the nice prices and feel goods that they keep talking about, these guys are no where to be found after you make your deposit!

I will gladly share the amount of texts and calls I have put into Dewinder and all the false promises he makes.

There is a reason why there is only less than 10 reviews on Google.

The lack of communication and service from Dewinder and Seema are appalling. This is my dream wedding reception. I am in love with the interior and the convenience of the hotel attached to the reception but it is impossible to book here.

Management is unreliable and extremely difficult to get a hold of. When we met with Dewinder for a venue tour. He seemed very cool, personable and professional. He told us that there were no restrictions in terms of food, number of guests, space and a minimum for a deposit was $500. What?! Amazing! But totally unheard of since a lot of the other banquet halls ask for 20%-25% deposit. We thought we hit the jack pot but when something is TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE in generally always is.

This is where it gets sketchy. He said he would email us the wedding packages but never did. It's been 2 weeks. Why doesn't this banquet hall have wedding packages readily available to hand out to clients? I don't know..

We've called the secretary and she said she will tell Dewinder to email us the info. But never heard from him. We called Seema on her personal cellphone, she told us the exact same thing that she would email us but never did.

I am starting to wonder how they manage to keep this reception hall in business with the lack of professionalism. And with so many weddings that took place here, why is there very little reviews.
Hmmm...
