Our Dream City-But-Not-City Venue!

IYC was the perfect location for our wedding ceremony (outside) and reception (inside the clubhouse / outside in the courtyard). As soon as we saw IYC, we knew it was the right fit for our summertime 80-person wedding. We were after a venue that had both the ease of downtown access (especially for all of our out-of-towners) and the experience of being outside the city - and IYC delivered! Michelle was so helpful when we had to delay our 2021 wedding to 2022, and the day-of staff were courteous and seamless. The logistics of an 'island' wedding do add an extra layer of complexity for planning with vendors, but the boat ride over for guests and couples is fun and special - so worth the little bit of extra logistics, for us! Dancing outside in the courtyard, the fish-and-chips snack and cocktails during cocktail hour, and a late night hot-dog snack, were some of our guests favourites. As a bonus, there are lots of beautiful spots for photos. Thank you IYC!

Tremendous value, quality, service

I’m writing to express my complete satisfaction with IYC's outstanding event staff. My husband and I held a socially-distanced wedding lunch for 25 at the club on September 12. We are not IYC members but Michelle Clark took outstanding care of us from start to finish. Our guests were elated by the setting, the service and the high quality of the food. Our deepest gratitude and compliments to the staff on a job well done. I won’t hesitate to recommend IYC to friends, acquaintances and colleagues.

Absolutely Amazing

My wedding could not have been better! Such an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and on top of everything, everybody was very accommodating. The events planner, Michelle, is so good at her job and without her none of my wedding would be possible. The venue is beautiful. I couldn’t be happier with The Island Yacht Club and I wouldn’t have had my wedding anywhere else!
