Our wedding was everything we hoped it to be at McMichael - from the gallery and Grand Hall reception to the beautiful forest backdrop, our guests loved our unique location. Jessica answered all our questions promptly throughout the planning process and was invaluable coordinating day of. It was the best!

The grand hall was the perfect backdrop for our wedding reception! The venue was fantastic to work with, coordinated with us and our vendors, were flexible with us coming and going throughout the day, and photos around the grounds will be a keepsake for us forever! We received numerous compliments from our guests about how unique and beautiful the venue was!

McMichael's was the perfect place to do a "First Look" for our wedding! The photos/videos came out so beautifully! All of our guests wanted to know where we did it! The photo permit was very reasonable!

Both Angela Poletto and Danielle De Col are the dynamic duo that made sure our day went as planned. Their expertise ensured that the wedding planning process was as stress-free as could be possible on such an important day. On the day of the event Angela was always nearby to handle any of our questions or the last minute need for a highchair for our youngest guest. Their exclusive caterer managed by Rebecca Hollander from The Food Dudes was excellent. Of course, the McMichael's Art Gallery is in itself a beautiful venue. Wedding Hill provided the Humber Valley background for the photographers from Timeless Tree Weddings (you guys were so patient and amazing at getting all the groups organized). Guests could walk the grounds and have a Gallery visit throughout the day. The reception was held on the terrace also overlooking the Humber Valley. The tent provided by Pablo at Advanced Tent Rentals ensured we were ready for rain or shine. It was a hot, humid day so Angela even provided portable fans for the comfort of some of our elderly guests. Everything to the smallest detail was taken care of by Angela and Danielle, even the bridal suite offered us the much needed large private space to get ready with its' own washroom and various sitting areas for the Bridal Party to return to throughout the photography session to freshen up. From permits, security, parking, guest inquiries, gallery tickets, table set up, and accessible amenities for our guest in a wheelchair, the venue and staff surpassed our expectations. We highly recommend that you reach out to Angela Poletto for your wedding celebration. You won't be disappointed. My husband and I got married here on October 18, 2020, during the pandemic. Although times were tough due to the restrictions and social distancing, Angela and Danielle really pulled through.

Their responsiveness was on point, and any question I had (and I had hundreds) they answered quickly and politely. They never made me feel like I was bothersome or dumb.

The day turned out perfect! We had our wedding on the studio patio outside and it was just breathtaking. The colour-turned trees in the background made the photos so beautiful.

All of our guests were so happy and loved the space. The photographer and videographer loved the grounds as well.

I really can’t thank Angela and Danielle enough for their hard work, consistency, reliability, great communication, friendliness and amazing attitude all around.

I can't heap enough praise on McMichael. They made our dream wedding come true at a time when such a thing didn't seem possible.

We reached out to Angela and Danielle about holding our wedding at McMichael shortly after some COVID restrictions had been eased, namely the restrictions around social gatherings. At the time, we were told we could only have 10 people attend our wedding. Which was fine, because we wanted to keep it small anyway. We were also given a COVID discount, which really helped to plan a budget friendly wedding.

When the social gathering restriction was increased to 50 shortly before our wedding, Angela and Danielle were quick to let us know we could invite more people and worked diligently to make sure the additional guests would be taken care of and that everything would run smoothly.

We would have been lost without them. We did not hire a wedding planner, so my wife and I were doing all the planning ourselves. But Angela and Danielle handled almost everything related to our ceremony and reception. Even though our wedding was small, there was still a lot of preparation involved, and it was nice to have that taken off our plate so we could just focus on ourselves. They handled everything like true pros.

Even the catering was taken care of. We used their catering partner, The Food Dudes, who also provided phenomenal service. Renee, like Angela and Danielle, is a master coordinator. We didn't really have to think about anything except the menu and linens. Trust me when I say, get the beef sous vide.

Everything was perfect, from ceremony to reception. We planned a tour of the gallery for the end of our reception, which all the guests seemed to enjoy. There's so much to see; it will take you at least an hour to walk the gallery if you stop to admire some of the works.

If you have any doubts about getting married during these dubious times, we can't recommend McMichael enough. They will handle all the stressful parts of planning a wedding so you don't have to, and they will do so without completely draining your savings account. At a time when money is tight, that is so, so important.

The venue was beautiful. We were in the founders lounge. We had a small ceremony and his room was the perfect size. We got amazing photos outside. Only downfall for me was being told we had to leave the gallery even though we had been told by the event planner we could stay longer.

My wife and I had our wedding ceremony here recently, at the wedding hilltop. The grounds were beautiful, vibrant with mature trees and nature. Stepping onto the hilltop, we both were able to envision getting married here. We worked mainly with Alicia - she was responsive, professional, and tried to be as accommodating as much as possible. However, due to certain limitations from the grounds and the art gallery itself, we understood why certain things could not have been done. Despite this, we were very well taken care of and had an amazing marriage ceremony here at McMichael. Thank you to the whole McMichael Canadian Art Gallary Team for taking care of us!
