Mauvais service

Réfrigérateur brisé, toilette qui bloque, gazebo en mauvais état! Tu veux des verres de vin et u dois payer pour la location…. Grotte d’outardes partout… enfin pour le prix j’irais ailleurs si c’était à recommencer!

Worst experience!

If I could redo it again, I would definitely go elsewhere. They not only bothered me all day long. But they kept changing the person in charge.. they had dead rats and broken beds. The place was just not it. Did I have fun, yes but only because of my family and husband and the fact that they decided not to tell me the horrors they saw. They had to rush to find a hotel and they came from California.. so they had to spend even more money as they simply could not stay here. For all the money I paid... it was not worth it.

Completely DIY Wedding....worth it if you are willing to work!

First, the location is absolutely stunning--an idyllic Island Oasis, tucked away in a beautiful spot. Our wedding was an artistic project that took a community to pull off! For this reason, I'd book at L'Oasis de l'ile over and over again! We rented the space for 48 hours and were able to spend the whole weekend setting up, enjoying the wedding and then working on clean-up.

However, the chalet is not equipped to handle overnight guests. Sure, there are fresh sheets and towels, small toiletries and enough space for 28 people to sleep. It's beautiful in a rustic and charming way, but not fancy. The kitchen is NOT stocked and we had a hard time getting things like plates, cutlery, pots and pans and cutting boards at the location. It was made clear to me that we would have to provide these materials for the wedding itself, but I was unaware that we wouldn't even have mugs for our morning coffee! If you book here, make sure to bring those things for yourself, but for the amount of money we spent for the venue, you'd think they could keep the kitchen stocked with basic equipment.

It was also difficult to get some small but necessary equipment, like ladders and fans, for our event. I asked the event coordinator to organize these items for me in advance, but it was not done. I had to run back and forth to the hotel at least 5-6 times asking for these things time and time again. The head of housekeeping was *extremely* helpful, she checked in several times to make sure I was ok and helped alleviate some stress for me during set-up!

This is a venue that really takes a lot of DIY and a creative eye--if you're willing to put in the work as we were, with a whole gang of friends and family to help, your wedding can be absolutely spectacular! It's a LOT of work, and honestly we were a bit burnt out on the wedding day, but if I could do it all again, I would still book here!

Make sure you're ready to roll up your sleeves, but you can create some serious magic in this amazing space!!

Beautiful place, needs upkeep and organization

We ended up having a beautiful wedding here. Venue is versatile and beautiful, though the place has its flaws. Knowi go ahead of time might save you from frustration.

Place is a little rundown. Dangerous holes in grass, wobbly railing, and had lots of spider webs, weeds, lights that didn't work, etc. Just the little things like windows not being able to open and close properly or stained sheets etc.

We also had a lot of difficulty booking, paying, and contacting staff. Lack of communication, inconsistency in pricing, and very few people able to answer questions.
