Located in Olds, Alberta, Olds College is a venue that specializes in providing rustic facilities and beautiful botanical gardens which are ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions. This venue offers brides and grooms a unique rural experience for their wedding by holding it right in the heart of agricultural Alberta. Conveniently located near Calgary International and Edmonton International Airports, this venue is perfect for creating a memorable event.
Facilities and capacity
The facilities found at this venue include the Alumni Centre which boasts 4,000 square feet of banquet space, technologically equipped and has a capacity of up to 350 seated guests. The Botanic Gardens is a picturesque 5-acre garden which is ideal for ceremonies, rehearsals or photos. The Wetlands includes parkland, natural ponds and a gazebo which can also be used for ceremonies and more. Lastly, the Land Science Atrium with a seating capacity for 50 guests is a unique indoor reception facility or can be used as a backup if bad weather ensues.

Beautiful and Affordable!!! Could not recommend more!
My husband and I got married here on July 27, 2024. We could not be happier with how the day turned out! Kamil and the rest of the staff involved did an amazing job! We highly recommend doing an ice cream bar for your cocktail hour, all our guests loved it! Kamil, was super attentive to detail and worked extra hard to make our dream wedding a reality! We had our Ceremony in the Botanical Gardens and our reception in the Alumni Centre. We loved that Olds College took care of all the catering, linens, set-up/take-down, chairs, sandwich board signs, golf cart valet. All in all, a beautiful venue with great staff, amazing food, and pretty much everything you need to have a great wedding. Alumni centre does come equipped with projectors, 2 mics, speakers, a stage and lights which was great! We did want a little bit extra base and sound so we rented additional lights, speakers and a subwoofer which worked great! If I were to give anyone a heads up it would be that the lunch buffet food portions are sufficient. We ordered burgers, Caesar salad and baked potatoes for dinner and were worried it wouldn't be enough but it was more than enough.

A+M Wedding
Mason and I decided on the Botanical Gardens and the Alumni Centre both on the Olds College campus. What an amazing experience! We are so happy we decided to use them to host our wedding. From start to finish, Juanita was there to help us through the planning process and take care of all our wishes. The ceremony was great, weather was stunning, pictures were beautiful, and reception was one heck of a time. Couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and highly recommend them to anyone looking at a wedding here. Thanks so much for everything!

Very lovely venue
We loved this venue the moment we saw it and so did our guests! Our ceremony was in the Wetlands which was awesome for the guests as they got a chance to walk around before and after the ceremony and admire the beauty and hard work they put into it. The reception was at the Alumni Center. We really liked it as it was a massive space with a dedicated dance floor, bar and kitchen. Plus it’s just walking distance from the hotel and ceremony! I will say there was lots of construction happening outside and inside the main doors which we didn’t love but we’re able to work around it.

Beautiful and easy to work with
Olds Collage is an amazing venue to get married! So many picturesque places on campus and a beautiful garden and/or barn for the ceremony. Clare the events coordinator was so easy to work with!
