CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT! We offer a wide variety of custom culinary & event services to meet your goals, vision and budget. The process is fun, informative and will outline all related pricing.

WE DO NOT OFFER GENERAL PACKAGES. Our services and general pricing is outlined in the "Frequently Asked Questions" section of this page. Schedule a phone meeting or venue tour with one of our event staff today and allow us to prepare a proposal specifically tailored to your wishes. There is no obligation and we can hold your proposed date while you review the proposal.

HISTORICAL BUILDING- Pie Eyed Monk is located in the heart of downtown Lindsay Ontario. Built in 1868 by C. L. Baker, this 17,000 square foot historical building has been fully restored to reflect the original design details with the addition of modern amenities and metropolitan decor treatments. The facility is equipped with a passenger elevator and fully accessible restrooms.

LINDSAY BREWING COMPANY- Our 7 Barrel System is located in the lower level of our venue. LBC creates a variety of signature and seasonal Ontario Craft Beers year round. We use a wide variety of local ingredients and can and label our products onsite. We offer tours and unique workshop experiences as part of our commitment to brewing history, education and engagement.

MAIN FLOOR RESTAURANT- The restaurant offers exciting views of the lower level brewery. Custom designed steel and wood tables, along with booths, offer a wide variety of seating options for up to 80 guests. Our South & West facing patios provide direct sun and shaded seating options during the spring/ summer season.

C. L. BAKER ROOM- Our special event venue provides a truly one-of-a-kind experience. With white washed brick walls, large heritage style windows, live edge bar, DJ booth, audio visual equipment and custom furniture, this space is both beautiful and functional. This space is fully accessible by elevator or stairs and is equipped with expansive gender neutral, men’s and women’s restrooms. This space can comfortably seat up to 120 guests.

LOFT 1902- Located in an addition built in 1902, this versatile space is used for Private Dining, Photos, Meetings, Intimate Gatherings and much more. It boasts 14’ ceilings, exposed brick, custom furniture and live edge accents.

Provided the PERFECT wedding day

Pie Eyed Monk was the absolute best venue! Planning was so easy, and they took care of everything! We held our reception in the hall, and then our guests were guided down to the restaurant bar for cocktails and apps while we went for photos and the staff rearranged the room for the reception. The food, drinks and service were all so amazing, and Erastus (the event manager) ensured everything went off without a hitch and exactly on time. There is a beautiful park nearby for photos and many photo op spots within the venue. There is also a newer hotel close by for guests. I couldn’t suggest this venue enough!!

So, so happy we chose to have our wedding here!

I cannot say enough good things about this venue and Erastus. From start to finish, we were constantly blown away with the level of service and accommodation. Erastus has a true talent and executed our day with such professionalism and care, we are so happy!

All staff were amazing. The setup and transition from ceremony to reception was flawless and exceeded our expectations beyond words. Walking into our reception, we were blown away as the staff and Erastus truly made our vision come to life, even better than it appeared in my mind!

The food was incredible, all of our guests raved about it. Alcohol service was professional and quick. We ran a tab instead of just doing open bar, which ended up costing us more but we had a lot of 20-30s aged people, which is something to consider when deciding how to do your bar.

I don’t have a single complaint from our day, it was perfect and I HIGHLY recommend this venue. The vibe and esthetics are warm and welcoming and the staff are so flexible with what you want.

Best restaurant

Pie Eyed Monk was a perfect location for my wedding reception. The ambiance of the event space was modern and chic. It was exactly what I wanted.
Food was the most important part of the evening and the Pie Eyed Monk did not disappoint - the food was phenomenal!! There was abundance of food and my guests left full. (I highly recommend the Caesar salad)
I worked closely with the general manager as there was a lot of regulations (due to Covid), Erastus was amazing to work with, timely on his emails and very flexible! The staff at the dinner were attentively my guests and were lovely.
I can’t say how amazing the restaurant and the staff are!
As well, the prices were very reasonable!
I highly recommend the Pie Eyed Monk!

Outstanding

We wanted an intimate, cozy, relaxed, stress free wedding with our family and friends. Pie Eyed Mink delivered. Manager was excellent to work with and accommodating to our needs. Ambiance was magical! Food was fantastic.

Wedding Opener

We got married August 4, 2018 at the Pie Eyed monk to celebrate 10 years together. The experience was amazing! People were skeptic as I was planning my wedding there for 15 months prior to it opening, but Aaron and his crew made it happen. Right down to painting the stairway hall the night before the wedding so the guests had a pleasant experience as soon as they walked in the door (a week prior to the restaurant opening). They aimed to please. There were some slight issues with communication in the planning of the event, however, once Chelsea was hired on as events co-coordinator, all that changed and it became a really positive experience. She worked with us and all our needs and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day, and ensured our vendors were also happy throughout the night as well.
Now, I couldn't do this review without mentioning the food. It was AMAZING! Everything from our cocktail hour pizzas, to the vegan mushroom soup, and both the beef and chicken options were delicious for the main course that we had served family style. My absolute favorite part though was the late night platters. The meat tray was absolutely to die for! And as a bride that didn't have time to eat to much during the busy social hours, it was my favorite part of the evening, when that came out. Its always a topic of conversation with guests as well. Everyone really enjoyed it. Ill post some photos below so you can check out the beauty of the building, and the light from the beautiful windows that you get to work with, and decorating the space was great, as the natural beauty of the tables and finishings was easy to work with.
Some other vendors that we worked with to complete the day was Dynamic Music Solutions and Photo booth to keep everyone on their feet dancing all night, and the photobooth for a good laugh to look back on. Emma-Lee Art and Photography for our beautiful photography, and Erin's Little Bake Shop for the amazing buttertarts to accompany my moms home made pies for dessert. Last but not least Kawartha Herb Garden for the great spices we did up as favors for all of the guests to enjoy.

We love Pie Eyed Monk!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at Pie Eyed Monk! Erastus and the team helped to make our wedding day a dream come true, especially the late night wood fire oven pizza!

For us, booking our wedding and reception at the Pie Eyed Monk meant that we didn't need to coordinate between multiple venues and catering, as they were all in one. The customer service focus of the team at Pie Eyed Monk came through in all of our interactions with staff; from flexibility in our plans, to accessibility and dietary needs, and transparency and fairness in pricing, the team goes above and beyond. We also enjoyed that we could share our Spotify playlist with them to play over their sound system, rather than needing a DJ.

A key priority was having great quality food that could be adapted to different dietary needs, which Pie Eyed Monk managed perfectly. We enjoyed the food so much that we're going back to have dinner to celebrate our first anniversary and plan to make it a tradition.

Overall, we had a great experience and received feedback from our guests regarding the venue, staff, and food saying they did as well. We recommend this venue to everyone we know!

Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a beautiful space for your wedding look no further! We fell in love with the beautiful backdrop of the white brick, black arched windows and the black ceilings! So much that it became our wedding colour palette! The five star review doesn’t just stop at the aesthetics! From the initial meeting to the day of the wedding Erastus and his team ensured that not only did they understand our vision but they made it come to reality! They were so open to making sure that every little detail was exactly what we envisioned. From the decor, to the menu to the specialty drinks everything was perfect! We did add on the day of coordination and transportation which we highly recommend! Whatever you are looking for they work hard to accommodate your requests! The kitchen team not only made a delicious dinner but went above to accommodate allergies and vegetarian guests. Our vegetarian guests said that it was the best meal at a wedding that they ever had! Service was over the top and they always checked in with us to ensure everything was perfect! The extra spaces were the perfect backdrop for our inside pictures. Our wedding was the most amazing day and this space was the perfect venue for our ceremony and reception. Highly recommend the Pie Eyed Monk and the team to make your big day the best day ever!

Beautiful historic wedding venue on a budget

My husband and I recently got married at the Pie Eyed Monk and it was the best decision we could have made. The general manager Erastus really worked with our budget (which was small!) and helped us have an amazing wedding with some really stellar food, and the venue itself and the staff were lovely. HIGHLY recommend.

Ceremony & Reception

My husband and I had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding ceremony and reception at Pie Eyed Monk. Everything about this venue was absolutely perfect - from the staff, the food, the drinks, and just the overall aesthetic. It was a pleasure getting to work with Erastus and his team throughout the entire process of wedding planning and the day of. I highly recommend the Pie Eyed Monk for anyone looking for a stunning event space with excellent food and service.
