We were engaged for about 2.5 years (thanks covid), which involved postponing our wedding once. We reached out to the Santa Maria probably 2 years ago and have been planning since then. We narrowed down our favourite venues and the Santa won. They are accessible for some of my less mobile guests, they were easy to get to and had parking, they had a big space, they had good food, they had all the amenities, they were a great price, and I loved the old fashioned feel inside. There were a few bumps along the road (thanks covid), as the staff there went down to a skeleton crew during the pandemic so some communication was a bit muddled and delayed. Chef Patrick ended up taking over our planning and was responsive and answered our all questions. We bothered him a lot, because I am a detailed person haha. We tried out the food a few times during the engagement and it was pretty good. Things really got pretty crazy about a month before the wedding. PATRICK WAS ON IT. We left the menu pretty much in his hands. And we had celiacs, allergies, vegans and vegetarians. Him and our wedding planner/decor lady worked together to make the tablescapes and table sets happen. The day was so chaotic that I didn't even have a chance to think, which is great because Santa and their team had everything handled. Everything went so smoothly. The staff were professional and attentive. Guests threw last minute allergies at me (during dinner time!!!) and Patrick and his staff handled it with grace. The food was amazing and so many guests came up to me and said they could have eaten the whole buffet if they could. We ended up having the whole building to ourselves and it was awesome. Our drink tickets and bar idea worked out seamlessly, and all the staff were quick and friendly. It went so smoothly. I don't think there was a single mistake made by Santa. Thank you so much! Also, in the end, we came out just under what we had estimated for the dinner. It was a great deal for the service and the day we had.

Patrick was great to work with. Food was awesome!
