I dreamed of getting married in the Zeidler Dome at TELUS World of Science ever since I heard it was a thing you could actually book! My now-husband and I have a bit of a history there too in our relationship, and so we gave it a shot to book for our wedding Ceremony Venue, and we are so glad it worked out! While it was a little on the pricier side for just the ceremony venue (you can’t host the reception there), it really was worth it. Our ceremony was so unique, and Jaqueline and Frank were so wonderful to work with!

Jacqueline was a dream. She was so accommodating, knowledgeable, and kind, yet commanded attention from our rather large bridal party. When it looked as though the weather wasn’t going to cooperate for outdoor photos, she took us and our photographer around to get a few really neat indoor shots. The time limit in the Dome for weddings is rather limited, but Jacqueline made efforts to change/cancel show times beforehand to allow us to get in for set up, and although our ceremony ran a little longer than anticipated, she still allowed us to get a few photos in the Dome afterwards too. She was so helpful in directing everyone at the rehearsal, and ensured everything ran smoothly on the wedding day.

The sky is literally the limit when it comes to the options you can choose in the Dome – you can have photos, a slideshow, videos, music, lasers, pretty much you name it, Frank can make it work! We went fairly simple with just the moon and stars as our backdrop, but Frank had the stars moving to start off with, then had shooting stars when I walked down the aisle! At the end we did choose a special “globular cluster” as our exit backdrop, with a little laser firework show saying “presenting Mr. & Mrs.”. I did supply the order of events for the whole ceremony, including our officiant script, etc., but the end did get a little mixed up - the fireworks were supposed to come post-kiss just as our officiant presented us as Husband and Wife, but instead came on during the kiss, and then repeated again for the recession, which all in all turned out fine, it just made for a couple awkward pauses as the groom and I were a little confused on what to do when the cues went off early! This was so minor though, that I don’t think anyone noticed except for us, so to all of our guests, it all went off without a hitch and everyone absolutely loved it. We really couldn’t be happier with our experience, it was a wonderful and memorable way to start our married life together, it was absolutely perfect!
