The Knox is the Perfect Venue

My husband and I got married at the Knox on September 14, 2024 and wow. We knew years ago when we saw the venue that it was the perfect place to have our cozy and unique fairytale wedding. Michelle and her team are absolutely incredible to work with---so helpful, kind, and genuinely care about your special day. The Knox is such a gem, and our wedding was absolutely perfect. Not to mention the surrounding village provides ample photo opportunities, so your phots will be anything but boring. Perfect Wedding Venue!

We had our small wedding at the Knox, and it couldn't have been more perfect! Not only is the space beautiful, but Michelle was amazing to work with from booking the space up until our wedding day. Highly recommend!

Overall fantastic

The Knox played a massive part in making our big day absolutely perfect! Their recommended vendor list is a major major help and everyone who had worked with them spoke very highly and were happy to collaborate together once again. All staff were incredibly nice and supportive, any questions were answered swiftly and with reassurance. Huge thank you for being apart of our big day!!

Amazing Venue! & Amazing team and staff

I had my wedding at the Knox including ceremony & reception. I also did their wedding coordination services. The staff at the Knox specifically Michelle Davis is who I primarily worked with was so professional, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful in many various areas. Michelle Davis was the coordinator and was amazing with keeping everything organized (amazingly) she also was so good at keeping on top of vendors specially the more difficult ones…. and was great at helping bring my vision of what I had for the day to come to life with keeping expectations realistic. The Knox is super well connected to other vendors in the industry specifically local ones so she was great in giving suggestions of people...

I had my wedding at the Knox including ceremony & reception. I also did their wedding coordination services. Michelle Davis was the coordinator and was amazing with keeping everything organized (amazingly) she also was so good at keeping on top of vendors specially the more difficult ones…. and was great at helping bring my vision of what I had for the day to come to life with keeping expectations realistic. The Knox is super well connected to other vendors in the industry specifically local ones so she was great in giving suggestions of people to use and had lots of experience which helped give ideas and to show different examples of how to do different things like first dance, ceremony layout, and reception layouts. The only the ONLY complaint I would be that they are only a venue … the do not provide anything besides the space. They do not include linens glassware cups, bar or bar staff, or catering. So if you have your event there you are basically paying for just the space … which was at least for me a bit difficult to get a different vendor for each aspect for the wedding. I will say tho the venue is gorgeous and beautiful venue for a small wedding definitely not a place for a bigger guest list .. I also recommend if you have your wedding there to pay the extra money for the coordination service it was worth EVERY PENNY. The Knox staff completed majority of set up and completed the takedown and organized everything for us so when we came the following day everything was taken down and packed up for us to pick up and take home. All in all I recommend the Knox if your have a small wedding and also keep in mind if your looking to do one and have a late night reception due to bylaws in Merrickville the bar has to be closed at 10:30pm on a weekend and music is off by 10:45pm. Just to keep in mind. All in all i enjoyed my experience with the Knox and made my wedding day amazing did not have to worry about 1 thing on the day all I had to do was focus on getting married Michelle handled everything on the day of and helped so much the 6 weeks leading up to the wedding making sure everything was on track and problem solved anything issues that arrived!

Small Town Charm With Big Heart

Michelle, Matt, and the entire team at The Knox Wedding and Event Venue are nothing short of amazing. Professional, attentive, and caring don’t even begin to cover it; it truly felt like we were being treated like family.

We fell in love with the old charm of the red brick and modernized interior the first time we saw the space, but the day-of transformation for our ceremony and reception was truly something out of a fairytale. Even with last minute rain plans, everything was executed perfectly.

We would absolutely recommend the venue, the team, and the whole town, for your big day!

Amazing venue

The Knox is the best venue. The old church is stunning, the grounds are mystical, and Michelle and her staff are lovely to work with! We cannot recommend them enough 🥰.

The Knox is "THE" venue

My mother, who was an artist, once told me, “ if a building looks beautiful empty, then it’s a beautiful building.” No one need look further than simply opening the front door to be WOWED by The Knox’s organic beauty.

Lay one rose in the middle of her open space ……and that would be décor enough.

Luckily the beauty does not stop with the building itself. This venue is cared for and shared with others by incredibly kind, helpful humans, 3 of whom my husband and I had the great pleasure of working with as we planned our fall wedding. ( Sam, Danielle, and Michelle )

Support was offered at every turn. Responses to our emails...

Support was offered at every turn. Responses to our emails with questions/concerns came almost as quickly as they were sent.

Pricing was well within reason.

The quality of their rental products were top notch.

We were permitted endless opportunities to visit the venue, each time met by staff who appeared to have all the time in the world for us.

When we arrived to decorate our venue it was sparklingly clean …….even the chandeliers seem to twinkle brighter. And again, we were met by staff who opened tables, helped place candles, stood on step ladders, and gave tons of positive feedback to the nervous bride.

Our wedding was perfect ……from Sam standing in the rain holding an umbrella over my 85 year old father’s head as he accompanied me into “our church,” to the incredible acoustics as our musician sang to us our “vow song,” to the beautiful light pouring thru the magnificent cathedral windows into all our wedding photos.

As we headed home, to continue our day in our PJ’s my last glimpse of The Knox was Sam giving us a head start on the next day’s cleaning schedule.

This is THE VENUE…..plain and simple.

Amazing experience

Our wedding day was perfect. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and everyone was so easy to work with. Michelle helps you each step of the way to make sure you have everything you need. Sydney was there on the wedding day from start to finish and helped guide us through the ceremony, I could not have asked for a better wedding day. I would definitely recommend The Knox. Also just a bonus that Merrickville is the cutest little town ever.

The most beautiful venue in the cutest town ♡

I can't rave enough about how amazing our wedding at The Knox was. Firstly, stunning. You couldn't ask for a nicer venue for an intimate wedding nestled in the prettiest small town. The Knox has the most amazing team and the support we got from Samantha was incomparable to anything we have experienced. The love and passion shines through. The property has a nice outdoor space with perfect photo opportunities and a bridal suite to sneak away when you just need a second to rest... lol...

A wedding venue that goes above and beyond

My husband and I fell in love with the Knox from the moment we laid eyes on the brochure. When we finally got to book a visit with Michelle the owner, we could barely contain our excitement. We walked into the space, my husband and I looked around then at each other, and he immediately said "honey, I had IDEAS". What was supposed to be a 30 minute consult ended up lasting well over an hour because Michelle and we just clicked and kept gushing about wedding planning details. Needless to say, we booked the place immediately.

And we're so glad we did.

At every step of the process the team at the Knox was behind us, answering question, proactively sending us info and ressources to check out, recommending vendors when I didn't know where to start looking, etc. I'd decided not to hire a wedding planner and to go at it all myself, and I can safely say our big day would not have been what it was without the guidance of the Knox's team. From our initial chats with Michelle, to our crunch-time review sessions with Sydney, to our day being expertly overseen by Danielle, everyone was stellar in their professionalism and helpfulness. Danielle in particular went above and beyond in her duties, going from venue coordinator to Day-Of coordinator and helping arrange last-minute rental swaps, a room flip, and vendor schedules.

I could keep going on and on and on about how great the Knox is, but, I guess you should just book them and experience that for yourself ;)
