The venue was beautiful, they were very personable and the value would have been excellent but I believe they sold the venue. They cancelled our booking due to a pending sale

Pros: The wedding venue is gorgeous, there's no doubt about it! The views are incredible (you can see the Toronto skyline perfectly) and the tents are huge enough to social distance guests. The bridal suite/prep room is very large, has lots of seating and a huge floor length mirror. The outdoors washrooms were kept very clean and nice as well. Patrick was always very friendly over the phone and in person, he was always a pleasure to chat with.

Cons: Communication was scarce. The entire time we had only worked/communicated with Patrick, but on the day of the wedding, his wife had personal preference concerns about our vendors that we had booked and communicated since day 1. 

Overall, we recommend this venue if you're looking for a great DIY wedding or a more simple venue.

Do not book!!

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic my fiancee and I had to reschedule our wedding scheduled on August 2020. We contacted Patrick to see what our options were. At this point we had already paid a $500 deposit.
I had to email three times and text him over a two week period to get any sort of response. When I finally did, he gave me two options: either have it in 2020 or move to 2021 to a date he chooses due to limited availability AND pay an extra $500. I asked about 2022 and he said that we would have to pay additional $200 on top of the extra $500 - so we would have to essentially pay $700 to move our date.
Patrick Gabriel, the owner of this venue is beyond greedy and unprofessional.
He is clearly taking advantage of people in this tough time. He even bragged to me on the phone about how he is “financially fine” since he owns a medical supply company.
Completely unacceptable and so disheartening.
Do not book this venue.

You would be hard pressed to find a lovelier location than here. The whole grounds are just breathtaking. Patrick and his wife bent over backwards assisting with logistics due to some challenges due to rain. Plus, they provided whatever we needed when asked including help to hang and take down a flower arrangement, towels to dry chairs, and extra lighting in the front. We really appreciated this extra effort. (I am not sure couples really understand how special this is in a venue). We feel very welcomed! They were truly a pleasure to work with, and Patrick was always just a phone call or text away. Never had an issue getting my questions answered. All in all, there is lots of room, fantastic tents, and a very romantic spot to get get married. It is also priced very competitively. I hope to do another wedding here!

I will start off by saying I did not have my wedding at The Perfect View. My fiance and I were really hoping to book this place because it is a gorgeous location, but the communication was a deal breaker!

So to start, I called Patrick to book a tour of the venue, he told me to call and confirm. The day of the appointment I called to confirm, he didn’t answer so I left a message. We show up on time and he was a no show. He texts later that night apologizing. I brush it off and book another tour for the following week.

When we meet Patrick and his wife, they seem lovely in person. I called Patrick about a week later to say we are ready to book with them! He confirmed that the date was available and requested we e-transfer the deposit and then he would send over the contract.

I email him and ask if he would send the contract before I give the deposit (I feel like a reasonable request). No response. I email the next week, no response. We waited about 2 weeks and then gave him a call. He answers the phone, and we provide an email to send the contract to. We wait a week, nothing. We text him reminding him, and again no response!! We tried to get in touch with him 4 times to try and sign this contract and give him money!!! Additionally, whenever we called him, he seemed annoyed as if we were being a bother. If this is the kind of poor communication received when trying to book, I cannot imagine what it would be like to plan a wedding!!

We were so excited to have our wedding at the Perfect View, and it's such a shame it was spoiled due to the venue being so poorly managed.

I had a wedding booked for May.2020 that needed to be postponed due to COVID. We had the option to reschedule for August. We did accept a date but then found out from reviews on google that Patrick was planning on increasing the price for the venue which was never discussed with us when rescheduling. I asked if we could cancel and get our deposit back. Patrick replied by telling me the deposit was non refundable as stated on the website(which it was not when I had booked with him and I provided him a screen shot). He then proceeds to tell me that if he can cover the date in August he would consider giving me half of my deposit back. He has now stopped responding to my emails. DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Brides beware. If COVID delayed your wedding here, consider it a blessing. Save yourself the headache from this guy and go elsewhere.

Got married here long before COVID so this has nothing to do with the other review on this site. While the view and property are amazing, the owner is unresponsive, a liar (tells you he has this and that when you book only to find out the day before he doesn’t), and I think there maybe something wrong with him.

Luckily we got the sense of his lack of reliability early on and were smart enough to pay to bring in all our own things (rented tables, chairs, dishware, glassware, caterers), but good luck to anyone who takes one of his “base packages” because the stuff he provides is disgusting. If you want this venue be prepared for a big DIY project if you want it to be nice.

We couldn’t ever get a hold of him by phone, text or email to even confirm our date. He said we could have the space the night before for our rehearsal dinner and then he was showing the property to other couples in the middle of our dinner. He even straight up yelled at the maid of honour like a lunatic.

He decided to invite himself to our food and our bar, wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and mingle with our guests unprofessionally like he was an invited guest.

Overall we had a great wedding despite the owner. Our guests had a great time and all of this unprofessionalism was largely behind the scenes. However, save yourself the headache from this guy and book a proper venue.

The price is cheap and you get what you pay for.
