    Harrassed our guests!!!

    I have never experienced such a thoughtless bunch!
    Service staff and floor manager treated out guests deplorably.
    After hearing a commotion at one of our guests tables, I approached the staff to find out what the issue was. They responded all huffed that there were uninvited guests trying to fit into the table. I looked and saw all our friends, no-one was unfamiliar.

    The Venetian service staff was harassing our guests, and the tables they sat at. All, before even attempting to come to any of the hosts to bring up and resolve the problem.
    While speaking to them, one server went to the bride and shouted at her, telling her there were unwanted guests. The bride ran from the view of guests and went to her dressing room to calm down.
    I warned them " Don't bother the newlyweds, it is their day!
    COME TO ME or anyone else at the parents table. I am the grooms parent and paying for half the reception.

    So, what happened:
    The service staff were harassing our guests because they weren’t on the guest list. Three of those guests were children, one was a quadriplegic and the other three were adult guests, who had no clue what was being yelled at them because they didn’t speak English!
    1. Our guests’ nanny was a no-show and they had to bring their 3 kids!
    2. the other 3, they were foreigners and were unaware of the concept of responding.
    After John (Floor Manager) kept insisting to our guests that their children were not guests, I heard them respond to John: "My kids are not welcome, because they aren’t on the seating chart? Are you kidding me?, then then fine, give me my gift back and we'll all go home!" The whole table then stood up and were ready to leave! Those guests spent the whole night being uncomfortable, even though I got the manager out into the hall and resolved the extra guests issue (even though we were not over our capacity).! I quickly pulled the crowd of staff into the foyer for privacy.

    When speaking to them, the staff just kept coming up with accusations, like:
    - they had issue with the platters that we supplied them, John, the floor manager said there weren’t enough for the extra guests
    but I replied and asked what happened to the rest , we brought 200 platters but only have 185 guests. They insisted so I told them to take the platters off the parents table and resolve it.
    - Their next excuse was the guests weren't paid,.
    which I responded " You want to get paid?, don’t worry I'll go to the bank machine and get you the $500 or so in cash!. There resolved!
    - Then they quipped, “Oh this has Never happened before, that guests arrived without responding. In all the time they were employed there, never. The bride should have told them that there were extra guests before that night!”
    But, the bride had no knowledge of those last minute decisions. A mature excuse.
    I asked " what other excuse are you going try to gaslight us with?”

    I insisted to John FM, that our guests not on the list, weren’t my issue.
    The issue was, they harassed my guests and anyone else within hearing distance before I came to them to check what the problem was."

    With no resolution in sight and John FM towering over me, upsetting me - I told them that I will go home and give up my seat for our guests. “I know that In the service industry, they always have a contingency plan of at least -10% no-show or +5% no reservation. A service industry knows that and always makes room for exceptions! And NEVER,EVER harass the hosts' guests! How many guests haven’t shown up?”

    After all that, I was finally given their seating plan and promptly found 8 empty seats because guests couldn’t make it.

    Remember that 15%/5% I mentioned? I found 8 empty seats, where guests didn't show up. So, the issue of platters, food supply and seats became moot and so unnessesary. The Venetian blamed our guests, instead of taking control of the situation and resolving it in a quiet respectable manner.
    The guests nor any of us are or ever were at fault as the staff endeavored to blame.
    The staff was all at fault for the harassment and unprofessionalism !

    My wedding at the Venetian

    Having my wedding at the Venetian was one of the best decisions I made while re-planning my wedding during a pandemic, after 1.5 years of it being pushed back numerous times. The Venetian is an absolute dream. It is beautiful and elegant, with high ceilings and beautiful chandeliers. I was very stressed and anxious planning a wedding during a pandemic, but Patrizia and the rest of the team at the Venetian, made wedding planning extremely easy and helpful during the process. Patrizia helped us from our initial meeting to the very end. She also coordinated the event for us - making sure every single detail was perfect. She was extremely helpful, courteous, friendly and professional. She made us feel so welcome the moment we met with her. She was so knowledgeable on the traditions and customs that we have during an Afghan wedding. Before I could even ask or explain something to her - Patrizia was already informed and prepared. The service at the Venetian is outstanding and top notch. Our guests would not stop raving about the venue, the service and the organization of the event. The staff brought my husband and I, appetizers and drinks while we were waiting in the bridal suite upstairs before our first entrance. They also organized the table in our bridal suite beforehand for dinner, with every dish from the buffet, along with cutlery and drinks. I am so extremely happy that I had my dream wedding at the Venetian! The staff at the Venetian did everything they could to make sure it didn’t feel like a “covid wedding” - and surpassed our expectations. If you want an event with elegance, class and exceptional service - l highly recommend the Venetian. From the bottom of my heart, I truly thank Joe, Patrizia and the rest of the team at the Venetian for going above and beyond for us. Thank you for making our wedding perfect.

    Terrible customer service, didn't even get to have my event, stole my money

    I tried my hardest to have an event here. I gave a deposit of 2k which they essentially stole. I dealt with Talia and PatriZia who was absolutely terrible. PatriZia gave me the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Her emails are 1-2 sentences, extremely untimely (I don't hear from her for weeks), and lack 90% of the information I asked for and have to ask again.

    I spoke with the manager about this (Teresa) who started by saying "I'm not trying to make excuses" then continued on to make numerous excuses for her staff. I should mention too that her staff lied to her about the situation which I then had to provide additional email proof about. She was also rude on the phone, and tried to be joking and friendly at the end, turning it on me because I didn't want to work with them anymore. In the end I cancelled everything because I refuse to give them ANYMORE MONEY.

    I could go on but I won't. IF you decide to have an event here, and PatriZia is your contact, ask for someone else or you'll regret it.

    There's plenty of other beautiful event spaces in Vaughan. CHECK OUT: W Event Boutique (great customer service, wish I went with them!), Hazelton Manor (great food and bar), Paradise Banquet, Terrace Banquet.

    Happy event planning. Hope this review helps in your decision. Remember it's ALOT of money your going to spend.. Choose wisely.

    Best wedding experience

    There are many words we can use to describe our wedding experience with the Venetian, but none will truly exemplify our gratitude and appreciation for their incredible service and hospitality; we will definitely do our best to provide insightful and genuine information that best represents our experience together.

    We joyously married on February 29, 2020 alongside our beloved family and friends at the Venetian, where we celebrated in their newly renovated space best described as modern meets classic prestige.

    Our wedding reserved Hall A & B for our 120+ guests and this space was more than sufficient to accommodate our ceremony and reception comfortably. The set-up maximized the space wonderfully for our ceremony - a stage riser with our floral displays and a high-top cocktail table for our officiant. The chairs were set-up beautifully in a chevron style and the overall view was perfect. For our reception, we had round tables with our preference of 10 chairs per table, a dedicated area for the DJ and MC, and our sweetheart table. There was a dedicated round table for our custom ice sculpture, and a round table for our dedicated sweets table. The flow of the ceremony and reception worked really well for us and we were extremely satisfied with the whole set-up.

    There is a lot to be said about the highly specialized and dedicated individuals that are a part of the Venetian family; they create an extraordinary experience for everyone that has an opportunity to experience the Venetian first hand. The intricate and detailed planning and execution is phenomenal - from the table cover linens, napkins, chairs, table displays and complete ambiance, to the planning, venue tours, complete and insightful communication and correspondence, menu selections, time management and so much more, they have it down to a science.

    Our food and beverage menu selection was a combination of versatile and exquisite culinary offerings, was plentiful, flavourful and enjoyed by all guests. They accommodated our advance requests for our guests with specific dietary needs, and provided alternate options best suited for each person; we provided these details in advance for best preparedness. We enjoyed the extensive menu offerings throughout the whole day from the cocktail hour, to the exceptional seafood antipasto station, to our deluxe plated soups, salads, entrees and desserts, and finally the late night stations which was similar to a third dinner - fruit, pastry, waffle, coffee, sliders, fries, poutine, and everything in between stations. Plus a premium bar, which has everything you need and more. Our stomachs and hearts were full to say the least and we are grateful for the extended love, care, and commitment from the Venetian family.

    We are truly blessed and overjoyed to enjoy all the moments and memories with our family and friends, having spent our biggest and best moment together so far from our wedding day. We wish to extend our considerable and immense gratitude to everyone at the Venetian that made our wedding experience incredibly unique and memorable. The amazing staff and exceptional service make for a great experience at the Venetian and we truly value and appreciate all of the efforts provided by everyone involved. We cannot thank you enough for the best wedding experience of our lives!

    Wonderful service

    On the day of the wedding the waiters and waitresses were amazing! The ones I had at the head table were so professional and thoughtful my husband and I were so happy with the service! Tallia who works in the office was very professional and helpful through it all, so kind from the beginning always pleasant to talk to. Thanks so much Tallia! :)

    Amazing night!

    The hall is really beautiful and elegant with sparkling chandeliers. Very organized and the food was amazing, all the guests enjoyed. We had some vegetarian and pescatarian guests and they managed to prepare the food for them separately. We were super happy with their quality of their service.

    August 9, 201o Wedding!!!!

    My wedding was on August 9, 2019 and I cannot stop raving about the venue. They were very accommodating and helpful throughout the process. My guests loved the food and was raving about the portions sizes. I will most definitely reccomend this venue to anyone that's getting married.

    Beautiful venue, terrible service

    It's a beautiful venue, but we had a few issues when we booked with them for our wedding. To begin with, communication was terrible - it took multiple calls emails each time my husband or I wanted to ask a question, and whenever we got an answer, it was terse to the point of begrudging. On the day of the wedding, my guests were kept waiting for half an hour past the cocktail hour's agreed-upon start time. The director of operations later told me this was was because my husband and I were not present (we were off-site taking photos). Apparently this is the Venetian's "policy," though it was never mentioned to us any time before the wedding. Finally, our food was not quite what we had expected, we asked for the beef to be cooked medium well but it was basically like trying to cut into leather. When those concerns were brought up to the management, the reaction was basically a shrug. On the plus side, the servers and bartenders were amazing, and the venue is very beautiful. However, I won't be recommending the Venetian to my friends or family because of the management's style of communication and their disinterest in addressing our concerns.

    Excellent Wedding

    Firstly, the Venetian is just beautiful. If you like glam, class and excellency then The Venetian is definitely the right choice. Their food and service is amazing. The facility is CLEAN and maintained. Their foyer is beautiful -look at their ceiling when you in walk in. Their chandeliers just sparkle. Everything about the Venetian is excellent. I highlt recommend it as your venue. Wedding, shower anything. One will not be disappointed.

    Amazing Day

    The Venetian was great to work with from start to finish! Our guests raved about the venue and were amazed by the food. We are still getting compliments. Everything ran smoothly and I didn't have to think about anything. My only complaint is that I left my wedding shoes at the venue and they were given to another MOB and not returned. I feel like they should deal only with the brides who can confirm if an item is theirs or not.
