Perfect Wedding Venue and Strongly Recommend!!

We celebrated our wedding at Universal on September 21st, 2024. The level of care and attention to detail from the venue and its team is indescribable. They make you feel like family and ensure that everything is perfect. Our guests couldn't stop praising the food, thanks to Chef Jerry and his exceptional team—they are truly unmatched. We wholeheartedly recommend Universal and the Peter and Paul's team to everyone.

Best Wedding Venue in the GTA

My wife and I got married at Universal on September 21st, 2024. There are not enough words to describe the care and experience you will receive from this venue and team. They will treat you like family and ensure every detail is perfect. Your guests will especially be raving about the food thanks to Chef Jerry and his team - they are second to none. We would highly recommend Universal and the Peter and Paul’s team to everyone.

For Dream Wedding, Read HERE

We didn't plan our wedding very far in advance (7 weeks)...

Universal Eventspace came to the rescue, proposing an ideal and cost-effective venue for our modest event! We used Studio 5, that enabled us to have an outdoor wedding/indoor reception (with inclement weather back-up plan!)

I am simply gushing with compliments... from the quality of the facility, equipment, and aesthetic design, to the top notch service, planning and coordination, we were so well taken care-of that we were in AWE of our treatment. Topping it all off, the food was spectacular, likened to eating at a 5-star restaurant for every guest. One special note - our event coordinator was completely on top of everything - she enabled...

My new wife and I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Frank, Michael, Tia, Janet and the whole PNP (Peter & Pauls) team! All consummate professionals who were very flexible and helped us achieve a "dream wedding/reception" (within our budget!).

We strongly recommend considering Universal Eventspace for your wedding or other event - big or small!

Universal was a wonderful venue for our wedding!

We visited no less than 10 event venues before finally deciding on Universal for our wedding reception. We initially met with Roberto who was fantastic - super helpful, responsive, and so nice, and he made the booking process seamless!
We did encounter a few minor issues with the venue the week of the wedding, but luckily they worked with us to smooth everything out and ensure the day went perfectly. Michael was on-site that day & evening to ensure operations ran as effectively as possible, and he was so friendly and made sure we were well taken care of all night long!

The food at Universal is also definitely some of the best I've had at an event venue, which is something that was very important to me and my husband when booking our wedding venue, and as usual, they did not disappoint! Everyone raved about the food! :)
My only note is to perhaps ensure your guests with dietary needs are taken care of, as I had a number of guests be served items they were allergic to. Luckily, once we let them know after the first course, they were quite a bit more vigilant.

Great food, staff and service!

Booked this venue because the price was midrange but beautiful especially for a city-vibe wedding. Got Studio 5 &6 upstairs with the ceremony on the roof. Amazing! Very accommodating with all of my demands. Upgraded our chairs as a wedding surprise !! Got a little care package at the end of the night from the kitchen staff, very cute.
Everyone was lovely and everything was perfect!

Great venue and food

Couldn’t imagine doing our wedding somewhere else!! Universal Eventspace is very professional and know what they’re doing. My husband and I are amazed on how they do their business. Roberto our sales manager was very helpful with all our food options and Karen was very helpful, she’s amazing and she was with us all throughout. Thank you.

Couldn’t imagine doing our wedding somewhere else!! Universal Eventspace is very professional and know what they’re doing. My husband and I are amazed on how they do their business. Amazing Venue

I heard horror stories with banquet halls and covid. And honestly I wish I could relate… because Universal was far from what I was being told about other places. They went above and beyond to accommodate us to make sure we were happy.

We signed out contract in October of 2019 before any covid, our wedding was planned for April 24, 2021. In the heart of the lock down. They let us move our date no extra fees to October 24th, 2021. They gave us no hassle and no problems. Closer to the date they even allowed us to have the room beside because it wasn’t booked. We couldn’t of been happier. We had so much room...

We had so much room for 176 people, it was spacious and just beautiful.

Now I need to shout out Antonio Panacci we booked with him. I don’t even have words to describe this man. He made this experience so amazing for us. We went to about 10 halls and Universal was the last. I’m so happy Antonio was representing Universal because we booked on the spot. We love you Antonio!!

I also can’t forget Lorena! Heart of gold this lady! The amount of times I called her I ended up saving her number in my phone. Whether it was a Covid question, or just a general question about our wedding she was always available to talk and always available to help. She was also my day of coordinator and she went above and beyond what she needed to do. There were definitely some jobs I gave her that she could’ve easily said no. But she didn’t she did them and did an amazing job doing it.

We would 1000% book another event with them!

We just got married at Universal over the weekend and we had the most magical day. Despite covid-19 restrictions, all of the staff (Especially big shout-outs to Frank and Lorena) made our wedding day feel absolutely perfect while following government guidelines. The hall is beautiful, modern and allows you so much flexibility in terms of expanding or decreasing the amount of room you need.

In addition, the food is PHENOMENAL and the service we received was top-notch. Being able to hire in-house vendors, such as S4 and Pure Event Design made planning our wedding easier and when having to quickly switch our plans due to covid, seamless. We could not be more thankful for all the hard work...

Truthful experience

Universal EventSpace is a great location for your wedding. It is a one stop shop that allows you to have your ceremony and reception at the same place, making it easy for you, your vendors and your guests. We had a great experience overall, however, there were a few hiccups in the process.

Upon booking, it was not communicated that the estimated number of guests would also mean the guaranteed number of guests which you ultimately have to pay for whether or not you meet those numbers. We found out the truth in this days before the wedding and it was tough negotiating this as we kept getting the 'you signed the contract' speech.

On the day of our wedding, some of our vendors were not received well by the staff and they were not cooperative in the process of keeping the evening running smoothly, and the room manager had snapped at my husband before realizing who he was. At the end of the evening, we also discovered that we were not allowed to take our wedding cake offsite - aside from the top layer which we disclosed we would keep. Universal EventSpace does say in the contract that no food is to be taken offsite, however, we paid for our wedding cake through another vendor and figured it belongs to us and it would be fine to take pieces and slices home - this was not the case.

Aside from this, we truly had an overall great experience and the best wedding day. The food is amazing and worth every penny and all of our guests, including us, left happy. The only advice we would give is to ensure that you know every single detail of the contract. This venue is very exclusive and it is hard to bring specific vendors on site. They do have great packages with their exclusive vendors however, make sure you are aware of all the costs associated.
