  This venue is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is amazing. Bre helped so much with every question I had. Flexible on making sure there is time for what you need. The food was amazing. The butternut squash was to die for. There are amazing photo areas. Overall was the perfect venue for our wedding and turned out to be everything we could have asked for

  Food Excellent, otherwise disappointed

  Notable greats:
  - food was amazing, prompt service, great wait staff.
  - venue was clean, overall beautiful setup
  - event mgr responsive, answered all Qs we had, accommodated food tasting date change.
  
  Unfortunate issues:
  - prices kept changing (some inflation, but after contract signed, should be honored). We are spending min $20k
  - during tour of venue, made it seem access to full practice green, but not allowed to use/ take photos (photographer confirmed from prev. wedding)
  - "closed" practice green during ceremony but public walked thru sign, chatting, disrupting ceremony. No staff in sight to help guide people away.
  - specifically requested "full bar, no premium" however we were charged several premium drinks and not verified by drink tickets. We didn't see a single ticket written on the whole night, so who knows if we were over charged
  - the only area "allowed" for photos had golf balls all over grass, forcing us to leave venue, had to pay$$$ extra 1hr for photographer.
  - late returning from last min photo change, delayed the entire reception (had to skip our fav "shoe game").
  - reception VERY tight (40ppl less than max stated), hard for Grand entrance to get to head table.
  - difficult to drop off decor earlier day before (despite venue not booked)
  - overall really disappointed with the day before/day of coordination
  
  If considering this venue, be VERY specific, get everything in writing, and confirm every detail so you're not disappointed. Happy wedding planning.

  Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you were disappointed.
  
  To clarify a few of your points.
  
  Pricing- At the point of signing the contract the rental fee and food minimum stay the same. It is noted at the time of booking that prices for food/drinks may increase.
  Photo Areas- There are a few practice greens, pond/garden area that can be used, however we are still a golf course and try to restrict as best we can from any golfers. However, during the ceremony there was no one walking the path by the ceremony as we had an employee standing there watching. 
  Bar- No premium drinks were charged to you and all drink tickets were counted. We keep all of the drink tickets on hand after the event incase anyone needs to go through them.
  Set Up- We always try to accommodate our couples that want to set up early, however because we hold several events, we can't always guarantee that the day before is available. We advise every couple a week prior if the day before is available which in this case was for you to come and set up.

  Beautiful Location

  We are so glad we booked with Valley Ridge. A beautiful location, and wonderful staff to boot! We had excellent communication with the event coordinators, and all our questions were answered in a timely manner. It was so easy to work with them, and we are so happy we could have our ceremony and reception in the same location. WE received many compliments on the venue, and especially on the food!

  August Wedding

  We recently provided a client with wedding day coordination for their wedding at Valley Ridge and from the initial correspondents with the venue to the day-of execution, everything was on point and done at a high degree of professionalism. They made our job as wedding coordinators easier and we all worked well as team to help bring our clients vision to life. The food was exceptional and the venue itself is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. Looking forward to our next wedding here!

  Beautiful Venue

  If you don't want a typical banquet hall and want something out of the box and beautiful, look no further. Valley Ridge golf course offers floor to ceiling windows 25 foot beams (with the ability to string lights), absolutely amazing food (we had buffet #4). Hayley was a joy to work with and very kind and responsive and the gardens that you can take photos in are breath taking. This hall made our dream wedding come to a reality.

  PERFECT Calgary venue

  Valley Ridge Golf Club was the PERFECT choice venue for our wedding. Our guests could not stop raving about the food, the gardens, the ambiance, the room was a perfect size for a 6 piece band AND our 120 guests...everything was just wonderful. Staff were kind and organized, and the day-of banquet manager kept everything flowing on time, my fiancé and I didn't have to worry about a thing.
  Kaitlyn was fantastic as the event manager - promptly answering emails, calls, questions, just fantastic. Very kind and fun to work with and help us plan our wedding at Valley Ridge!

  Kaitlyn and her team are an absolute dream to work with! We booked this venue almost 2 years in advance of our wedding day. Kaitlyn answered any questions we had at any point in that 2 years. They allowed us access multiple times to view the venue, plan and walk the gardens for photo ideas.
  The food here is absolutely amazing! They were more than willing to accommodate items that we didn’t like at time of tasting be replaced for the day of. We had Beef, Chicken and Salmon on our wedding day along with their buffet norms – potatoes, vegetables, salads, etc. Everyone RAVED about how good the food was.

  This venue was a dream come true. The staff here were professional, accommodating and kind. The food was one of the best meals I have ever had. They listen to all our wants and executed everything perfectly. They made planning a wedding all the easier. Not only were the staff and food amazing, but the venue it's self it so beautiful! We hardly needed any decoration because the venue was beautiful enough. I can't thank the staff at Valley Ridge enough for helping me have a beautiful wedding.
