Wonderful venue in the heart of the city!

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Vancouver Rowing Club on May 19, 2024. We rented the front deck for the ceremony, as well as the Trophy Room and Harbour Room for the dinner/party time. We had an open bar for our reception.

We are very happy with how everything turned out! The VRC is a great venue -- affordable, and a wonderful location! Kerri was very helpful and responsive in the lead-up to our big day (even when we worried we were bugging her way too often, having the anxiety that most couples probably do!). In the end, everything turned out beautifully and we would strongly recommend this venue for your wedding!

Gorgeous venue, fantastic staff!

The location of Vancouver Rowing Club is alone - stunning but what sold us on VRC was the attentiveness and flexibility of the event managers and staff. On a whim, we strolled into VRC without an appointment and outside of business hours, yet were still accommodated with a venue tour, package printouts, and contact cards. Pricing for the Harbour Room (Main Room) did not include catering but their preferred caterer, Emelle's Catering, was world class! The entire staff at VRC, from our initial venue visit until way after our reception have been nothing but sweet, attentive, flexible, and most of all, caring. We are so appreciative of the wedding reception experience VRC was able to provide us and if we had to do it all over again, we'd chose VRC again in a heartbeat.

Great People, Great Views

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with the VRC. From our initial outreach back in early 2019, through the various COVID delays, to finally having our vow renewal and wedding reception this past July, the experience was amazing. We felt supported and inspired every step of the way.

First of all, the location is clearly beautiful and historic. We even got to watch Spain's entry in the Celebration of Light fireworks from the deck! They have also recently installed air conditioning, which is a huge plus for such a historic venue.

The team at the VRC, especially Cara and JJ, are amazing. They run everything so smoothly and think of all the tiny details you don't. Cara stayed connected with our other vendors throughout the process and on the day they were so attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. The bar service was great and they were really flexible about working with our changing plans and budget through our various delays.

All in all, it was an absolutely perfect day to cap and amazing planning experience.

Would get married there again in a heartbeat!

We had our wedding at the Rowing Club in June 2022, and our experience was very positive! The price is definitely right for such a jaw-droppingly gorgeous venue with stunning views of Vancouver (perfect for impressing out-of-town guests!). The staff, particularly Cara (the Events Manager) were so friendly and flexible; they went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests, and they were present and available especially as our wedding drew nearer (and during the full rehearsal and wedding day). The bar staff were also super fun and friendly. The Rowing Club was also so supportive of helping us make our wedding day vision happen; they let us bring in a karaoke DJ, and they did everything they could to make sure we got to have an outdoor ceremony (which we really wanted, and did get!) despite a rain-forecast weekend. All in all, we would HIGHLY recommend the Rowing Club to anybody getting married in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Rowing Club - A Charming Coastal Vibe

We are coming up to the first July anniversary of our wedding at the Vancouver rowing Club so I am delighted to write this review! We have so many happy memories as we pass the charming building, with its coastal magic of yachts, rowing crews and the forested romance of Stanley Park.
We had the ceremony on the deck at 5 p.m. and white parasols helped with a very hot July day! The club crew were wonderful at setting up just the perfect number of chairs, and making sure everything was in order with the flowers, wedding arch and signage. They were fun and cheerful and got right into the spirit as guests cooled off after the service with lots of libations. The Harbour Room was perfectly set up for dinner and staff kept everything rolling nicely for the caterers to work smoothly.
After dinner and dancing, the evening was beautiful and the guests enjoyed gathering on the deck and relaxing with a drink as the sun set over the sparking water and yachts.
Do book early! Manager Cara is very helpful and will recommend a variety of services such as wedding planners, dj's and caterers who are familiar with the set up of the club. The Harbour Room is the largest of the two available rooms and is snapped up quickly. The Trophy Room would be fine for a smaller group. Both have access to the wrap-around deck and stationary cocktail tables.
Stanley Park Parking is close by the club and there is a designated lane for drop-offs.
You will have a lovely wedding with many great memories in a building that is part of Vancouver's boating history!

Summer wedding

Amazing venue for a wedding. The views are stunning and the venue has a beautiful rustic feel. The rental costs are very reasonable and the staff are great to deal with. They did such a great job accommodating any request and were great about rescheduling everything post pandemic. Highly recommend.

The perfect day!

Our experience planning our wedding and getting married at the Vancouver Rowing Club was amazing! The venue was everything we could ask for, staff we communicated and worked with we're responsive and experts. Their exclusive caterer Emelle's was also amazing in not only creating delicious appetizers, mains, desserts but also coordinating all our linens, tableware etc. Our day could not have been better and we would definitely recommend to anyone.

A beautiful, mansion-style venue

We really wanted to have our reception in an old mansion in Vancouver, but couldn't find one big enough for 125 guests. The VRC was a perfect blend of space and that old-fashioned style. It was a little tight for our size of wedding in the Harbour Room, but we made it work by renting the Trophy Lounge as well. The wrap-around deck overlooking the city was a perfect place for our guests to get some air too! We have no regrets about this beautiful venue for our big day.
