I would happily hire le Gateau to make more occasion cakes. Our wedding cake was delicious and beautiful. We ordered the lemon olive oil cake, and it was perfectly light and airy with just the right balance of sweetness. Thank you so much! -

I live out of province so all of my communications with Tanya were via email. She was incredibly responsive and I cannot believe she created such a beautiful cake based on my various sample photos and descriptions. I contacted 20 bakeries trying to find someone who was available and could make me a gluten free and vegan layer to accomodate my dietary restrictions. Le Gateau was one of three people that could accommodate but by far had the most variety for me to choose from. Tanya was so great at making adjustments and changes as our wedding changed due to COVID, and the end result was amazing. It is by far the best gluten free/vegan cake I have ever had. Thank you so much! I highly recommend Le Gateau bakery! -

Setting up a meeting with Tanya was perfect. We were able to meet her after work hours as I am not able to take time off work just to go cake tasting. We brought the reasonably sized samples home and our tasting fee was used towards our order. I picked a 4 tier cake and was allowed to pick 4 flavours. My favourite is the vanilla and strawberry which I used for my bridal shower cupcakes - I will be ordering more in the future as i love this flavour. It was amazing that she was also willing to help me reduce costs and gave me advice to achieve the wedding cake look I wanted without splurging ridiculously. She let me provide my own flowers and explained thoroughly how to prep them in time for her to decorate the cake on the spot at the venue. Tanya was responsive as much as she can be as during this time she also became a new mother. Thank you for a great experience and congratulations. -

This bakery was amazing! I'm so happy that our wedding planner showed us this place and everyone that tasted the cake loved it! It literally looked like what i wanted and pinned on pinterest! They did an amazing job and it tasted marvelous -

Most Beautiful Cake We've Ever Seen
We got married on March 10, 2018 and our guests are still commenting on how beautiful our cake was. Tanya is amazingly talented. The tasting we had at Le Gateau Bake Shop is one of the high lights of our wedding planning experience. We chose her Lemon Berry cake and her Chocolate Caramel Pecan cake. Our cake was 3 tier, and finished in white fondant with gold fondant pearls, and a gorgeous sugar flower cascade. When it came time for the cake cutting, I almost didn't want to cut into it - it was that beautiful.
Tanya produces amazing cakes, and her personality is wonderful. Her prices are also very reasonable. She is friendly, flexible, and oh so creative. We will definitely be back. We are so happy we managed to freeze the top tier for our one year anniversary. -

Susan F. Sent on 27/10/2017Le Gateau did our wedding cake for us - coconut with coconut custard - and it was the most delicious cake I've ever tasted in my life. I'm drooling just writing this review. I received so many compliments from our guests on the cake. Tanya was a pleasure to deal with throughout the planning process - she was very responsive and flexible in giving us what we wanted. I would highly recommend Le Gateau to any bride looking for a high quality cake and will definitely consider them for non-wedding cakes in the future.

Our other wedding vendors told us that they had never seen such a beautiful cake before! Tanya was great to work with and very accommodating considering we were coming from out of the country. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out! -

Codie C. Sent on 11/09/2016Tanya was wonderful to work with from the first email I sent to the last! Their prices were very reasonable! I emailed with her since I was from out of town and she was always very prompt to return my emails. I discussed with her my theme and colors and what I had envisioned and she was so great at giving suggestions and when she drew up a sketch of my cake I was in shock on how amazing it looked it was exactly what I imagined but better! The day of she delivered it and it looked so beautiful. We added fresh cut flowers and everyone loved it. It tasted even better than it looked, the flavour was so good and fresh strawberries inside. The fondant was actually one of the best I've tasted and I heard that a lot from my guests as well!
