We had a pretty unique Pakistani wedding at an art gallery in Ottawa a few weeks ago. One big issue with Ottawa is a major lack of South Asian vendors, with those in the city a) charging a lot of money, and b) not producing particularly great food. So we reached out to Zahid and Mohika at Aunty’s Kitchen, to see whether they would be willing to travel to Ottawa for the wedding, which they agreed to do for a tremendous price. They also supplied the rentals for our flatware and linens, which reduced the need for additional vendors. Taken as a whole they saved us A LOT of money versus a local vendor, but the best part of it all was the food, which was incredible. So much so that we still have people messaging us just to talk about how great the food was. They offered an incredible variety of dishes, and everything was just expertly prepared - even my very picky momma was floored by the quality of each dish. They arranged a local kitchen to do all the prep work, and prepared beautiful signage for the buffet, the entrance to the buffet and each individual seat. And on top of all of that they were a dream to work with - Zahid and Mohika treated us like family, checking in on us on the days leading up to the event and on the day of, and even after the wedding. They are simply good people, and people you can trust to do an incredible job with the menu on the most important day of your life. We simply cannot recommend Aunty’s Kitchen enough. It’s a tall task to drive almost 1,000km round trip, but they did it and gave us a meal to remember.

It was a difficult task for the team to figure out the correct loading and unloading area for my venue because of management restrictions and whatnot but Aunty's Kitchen's team was very flexible to find way to work around it and give us an amazing experience. All my guests and me as well loved the food. There were absolutely no complaints.

The communication for the event was really great. Zahid and his second in command, Harnoor, treat your event as if their own. Meaning they are there to find solutions with you and help you throughout the process. So please trust in them and enjoy your event.

Aunty's Kitchen catered our wedding and did amazing, great service and food tasted amazing! Highly recommend retaining their services. Zahid was very genuine and gave us a lot of confidence that the wedding catering would go smoothly. Harnoor was the manager on the day of our wedding for the catering team and she was very professional and efficient. All the serving staff were friendly and keen to detail. Highly recommend!

We had 2 major wedding events and hired aunty's kitchen for both due to their variety of food options catering to south asian, middle eastern, and western cuisine. Everything on both events was handled gracefully and on time. Several of our guests particularly told us that they really enjoyed the food. The table settings were also just how we wanted them (even better). Everyone on their team was organized and super responsive.

We had a big wedding at Madison Greenhouse venue, and selected Aunty’s Kitchen for full service In May 2024. We have nothing but praises for Aunty’s Kitchen and Zahid! From the moment we had the tasting, we were given a great experience and the service went well without any issues. Zahid (the owner) was present at meetings and followed up with us through text message/phone during the year that we planned the wedding. We’ve had food that was warm the entire wedding and we can’t stop getting compliments from how tasty it all was. I’d recommend them any day and looking forward to visiting their Mississauga location for some more food!

Pinky and I sincerely thank Aunty's Kitchen events catering team for their hard work and enthusiasm in our son's and his new bride's traditional homecoming reception dinner. 

The guests at our event were predominantly Sri Lankan Canadians and visitors from overseas. They all felt the food resembled their food back home and enjoyed the lavish buffet, not to mention the dessert corner and the tea/coffee station. 

From our initial consultation months ago with Zahid to the food sampling/tasting session, the actual event to the cleanup was thorough, and everyone involved demonstrated professionalism and dedication to wholesome, real food. 

The team, especially Zahid and later their event manager Mohika, was a pleasure to work with and was always attentive to our exacting needs. It was a relief having a knowledgeable company looking after our event, knowing they fully understood our requirements and could deliver an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Zahid and the Auntys kitchen team were phenomenal. The professionalism, complimentary taste testings (full 5-6 course meal at their restaurant), willingness to do a site venue tour, I could go on. Zahid was so accomodating and professional. I had a barn estate wedding and auntys kitchen is one of the FEW desi caterers that were willing to work with a barn venue without the need for a kitchen. Their food was fantastic, appetizers were made fresh on site and highly recommend the mojitos.

The staff service was nonstop throughout the night. Not once did a guest have to wave them down for appetizers.

They also worked with me in terms of plating style to ensure it went with my decor and theme/vision.

Everything with Auntys kitchen was seamless and Zahid did not forget a single detail. He always brought up things that I may have forgotten.

Honestly, 0 regrets hands down and I am recommending them as a caterer for any desi/non-desi wedding.

Auntys Kitchen was 1000% the right choice for our December wedding. We had a fusion wedding and both cultures were honoured so beautifully. Zahid and his team were fast, efficient but most of all flexible. My dream was to always have a poutine bar, and although that is complicated with frying fresh fries at the venue, they made it happen and it was amazing. My advice to brides would be to listen to Zahid and trust his creative process. He has really good ideas and genuinely wants everyone to enjoy themselves. Also I got a lot of feedback from not only my desi family from India, but also our caucasian friends and all across the board everyone was super impressed with the food. This vendor is really good at having something for everyone so if that is important to you then I would definitely go with Auntys!

Zahid is amazing! From the first time we met on zoom we hit it off. He is so professional and knows his stuff. Definitely take his advice when offered. My husband and I went for a taste testing and my husband felt like he was back in Pakistan. Zahid went above and beyond our expectations. We had 150 guests and the food he provided was way more than that, our guests were so happy with the food and were able to get seconds. He made sure the appetizers were fresh and fried on location for best quality, which a lot of our guests said was amazing. We also didn't have any printed menus for our tables which was a wonderful surprise that he had made for us on our special day. He also invited us back to his restaurant after the wedding so we could enjoy the food that we didn't get a chance to eat on the actual wedding day. I highly recommend Auntie's Kitchen for your wedding and any other special event that you may have.

Zahid and his team did an excellent job accommodating a diverse menu for our company event. They were exceptionally dedicated and punctual throughout the event, checking in with the organizers often to ensure everything went smoothly. Everyone really enjoyed the food and we received many compliments!
