Meet the team
If I'm being honest, cooking for 300 people is a far easier task than writing a bio about myself, haha. My name is Marcy Ellis, and I am the mother of 4 and wife to one. It's always been my dream to own a restaurant or cook for other people in some form, and that opportunity has finally happened. It began a few years ago when I was asked to cater for a small wedding party supper. At the time, I was pretty shocked at being asked to cook for such an important meal, but I just couldn't turn down the offer. Turns out that the meal had Gluten Free, Lactose Intolerant, and Vegetarian dietary requirements, which was a fun obstacle to navigate. I figured if I could sail through this meal, I could conquer anything. 3 years later, I am doing just that.
In the spring of 2019, I was browsing Kijiji and saw a bright yellow food truck up for sale. My husband gave me a little push and said, "Just do it, Marcy!" A few weeks later, I was the proud owner of the Biggar Bites food truck (yellow and all); you can probably imagine how much fun that's been.
