Having dined at the Forage restaurant on numerous occasions, it was a natural fit for us to approach them to cater our wedding, and we are so glad we did! From start to finish, the food was fantastic. We had passed hors d'oeuvres and a platted three course meal. They also provided a dessert table with several mini desserts to go alongside our wedding cupcakes. All of our guests said the food was fantastic. Their servers were also very good, and took cocktail orders at the table throughout dinner service, as well as wine service at the table.
One thing I will note is that they had a lot of turnover of staff - during the year it took to plan our wedding, they went through 4 catering managers. This meant that we needed to have several meetings to go over our plan/details. However, in the end, it all worked out as expected.

When our wedding planner asked us about the type of food we wanted to have at the wedding we basically told her wanted something phenomenal. Our wedding mantra was having a good party that incorporated great food and music in a beautiful space. Being both very interested in food and cooking, one of the big reasons we picked a blank canvas for a venue was so that we would not be limited by food choices. Knowing our tastes she suggested a few different caterers and heavily suggested Forage, which were the last people we met with and they did not disappoint! We had our tasting at the restaurant location and were able to pick through a number of different items and make modifications and suggestions. Not only was the food absolutely delicious and in our opinion much much better than the other catered food we tried, we found it to be far more reasonably priced. Ally and the team at Forage was so accommodating to make dishes accessible to both our Hindu and Kosher guests. We were able to request and suggest other things not on the menu and incorporate fun elements like a risotto-finished-in-a-parmesan-wheel-station, our server at the tasting also suggested and came up with the most delicious signature cocktail. Our guests were blown away by the food served at our wedding as were we (and the staff at Forage was so lovely as to bring us a sampling of all the appetizers when we sat down in case we had missed out during cocktail hour). I would highly recommend Forage for any catered event, the food and service were above what we expected.

From the very beginning it was clear that it had to be Forage. Food and service were at the top of our priorities and the Forage team didn’t just meet our (very high) expectations, they blew them out of the water from the very beginning.

Allison the catering manager was a great person to have in our corner and working with her was effortless. Based on a few short conversations, she understood the vibe and ambiance we wanted at our wedding. She and the Chef worked with us to create an incredible menu that our guests still talk about. Julianna, the Catering Operations Manager brought her experience and passion to every aspect of the event, and went above and beyond to make sure that the event was flawless. You won’t find anyone harder working, more dedicated or more supportive than Julianna. Julianna and Alison also took the lead with a couple other vendors to make sure our day went off without a hitch and nothing was missed!

On the big day Julianna and her team delivered exceptional service; another frequent topic of conversation with our wedding guests. It was great to be able to relax knowing that with her crew our guests were being taken care of. Our wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without the Forage team, and we can’t tell you how much we appreciate it.

The food was amazing! Everyone complimented us on how tasty everything was. We went for family style which I highly recommend. I'm honestly getting hungry just thinking about it. The staff was amazing, the bartenders knowledgeable. If you are looking at having local tasty West Coast food you cannot go wrong with them!

We had tastings with 3 other caterer before we tried Forage at the recommendation of our photographer. After we had our tasting, we knew Forage was the right choice for us as we were big foodies. Margot, the General Manager, was so responsive the entire time and was able to get our menu tailored exactly to the way we liked it. The food tasted amazing, the portions were generous and they were able to customize everything for us. I could not recommend Forage enough. We will be visiting the restaurant often!

After speaking to countless caterers, we decided to go with Forage. For many reasons, but mainly because they were responsive, understanding, and willing to work with our budget. We wanted to have cocktail hour canapés and dine family style for dinner, we had a lot of logistical questions about seating, the venue, etc. but all of our questions were answered quickly and effectively. The tasting at the Forage restaurant was superb! Any notes we had about the food and dietary restrictions were taken into consideration. However, what really stood out to us was how helpful and reassuring Allison was as the date crept closer. I must've sent at least 20 emails in the last few weeks with last minute changes (which I feel terrible about) but Allison handled them all with grace and patience. On the day of, all of the Forage staff were so friendly and excellent to our guests. We had a minor snafu in our schedule where dinner started 20 minutes earlier than planned, but Forage made it work and no one was the wiser. We had so many guests come up to us to tell us how much they enjoyed the food, and the guests with special diets were particularly grateful and delighted with their meals. I highly recommend Forage for any special occasion!

If your goal is to serve an excellent (and I do mean excellent) meal on your big day, go with Forage. They are worth every dollar. We worked very closely with the event coordinator, and she was very patient and willing to work with us and our budget. In the end, we went above what we wanted to spend, but we felt like we got great value. The service was excellent. The bartender crafted some amazing drinks on the fly (beyond our cocktail menu) and SO many of our guests mentioned how good he was. And the FOOD. The food was hands-down the most commented-on aspect of our wedding. One guest said it ranked in his top 5 meals EVER. My husband and I love good food and drink, so it really helped the day feel like "us." All-in-all, couldn't recommend them more.

Forage Catering was an amazing team. On all levels they exceeded our expectations! We decided early on to use their services, because of their commitment to zero waste. Right away Allison was at our aid with figuring out how to make the food perfect for our wedding. Gluten and dairy were a definite no for our menu, and Forage was able to accommodate this request for us.
Closer to the wedding, Julianna worked with us on the day of coordination. She came to the property for a site visit and was able to help us figure out the best locations for all our food specific needs. On the day of, Julianna and her team were flawless. They helped out in all areas of day-of set up, and produced a fabulous layout for the food!
Most importantly, the food was amazing. The chefs created dishes that delighted our guests. We decided to go for the Boston BBQ, so many flavours, such a good decision.

Definitely choose Forage Catering if you want exceptional food and service.
