The food, from charcuterie to salad to main to dessert, was all of the best quality, fresh, and delicious! All our guests couldn’t say enough good things, everyone said it was one of the best meals they’ve ever eaten, if not the VERY best they’ve ever eaten.

Every team member I interacted with was kind and friendly, and they were efficient in their dinner service; they managed to ensure that every guest got what they ordered, and every main was hot when it arrived. Which is miraculous because the venue didn’t have a kitchen they could use, so they had to set up their own mobile kitchen…outside…in December!!

Lilyruth also helped us with bringing in our linens and dinnerware, which was so helpful as they knew best what we would need for the day. The linens were delivered early, were clean, and exactly what I had asked for. They helped set the tables up to their best advantage. We have been told our wedding was one of the most original and heartwarming folks have seen, and I have to give credit to Lilyruth for contributing so much to our special day, we couldn’t have done it without you!!

We had our wedding June 18th 2016 on farm outside of Cambridge and Lily Ruth were our caterers for the event. We had met with a couple caterers in the area that would service an outdoor venue – Lily Ruth had been recommended to us and stood out for their value and variety as well as their (specifically the manger Rachelle’s) expertise and knowledge in the planning process.

We knew we wanted a bbq inspired buffet with options to please vegetarians, pescatarians, vegans and meat eaters alike. Rachelle worked hand in hand with us to craft the perfect menu for both dinner and an afternoon appetizer cocktail hour.

We could not be happier with our choice. The food was absolutely fantastic – people were raving about it long after our wedding, and the little details made in presentation like incorporating our colours and fresh cut flowers were noticed. The team at Lilly Ruth consistently went above and beyond. The servers were friendly mature and experienced and there was never an empty glass.

We didn’t have a wedding planner but Rachelle essentially filled the role making sure our big day went smooth – keeping things flowing on schedule, guiding guests on where to drop off gifts, arranging and plating our homemade desserts, lighting candles, holding ladders for our group photo, coordinating rentals, and most of all being accessible on the day of for all the last minute details – which there were a few. We had complete trust in her on the day of our wedding, which greatly helped to set our minds at ease as we enjoyed the special day.

We can’t say enough about both the process and end result of working with Rachelle and Lilly Ruth. We would highly recommend them, and are still getting asked by our guests about the exceptional catering services. Lily Ruth took in to consideration all of our requests, including specialty diet restrictions, and provided great advice our big day, adapting as required. The value of the service and food was beyond our expectations. Our menu consisted of heavy appetizers, and drinks. Our guests raved about the burgers, and felt truly satisfied after eating.

Lily Ruth Catering is nothing short of fantastic.

Rachelle, the manager, planned the whole menu with me and gave me full latitude to have exactly the food I wanted (burgers, sausage and a classier salmon dish to keep our moms happy) while at the same time giving great advice on what would be good complements to what I had chosen.

Rachelle was always incredibly responsive and prompt in her e-mails and did two site visits of the property before the wedding (which was on my family farm) to put together something fabulous.

When I freaked out about a month before the wedding about who exactly would be doing what (do we need power for the grilled cheese late night snack?! Who will provide stir straws and cocktail napkins for the bar?!) she calmed me down instantly saying that they had everything under control and they did! The end result of all her hard work was just stunning - a beautifully laid out buffet with great signage and decorations that worked well with my theme, impeccably timed service and amazing tasting food. I never saw any "back room" stuff the whole time (cooking, cleaning, bringing ice or cold beverages for the bar) AND they did it all in a barn with no provided refrigeration, kitchen and only a few electrical outlets and bbqs.

I am still getting complements on how great the food was and I have to say that is 100% because of Rachelle and her awesome team. I would recommend her anywhere and any time for any kind of event.
