Urbane was amazing to work with for our wedding. Rebecca sat down with us (telephonically mid COVID) and went through exactly what we wanted. We needed gluten free for the bride and they were the most accommodating from all the caterers that we spoke to. We also had a clear idea of what we wanted because of COVID, and they met and exceeded that idea.
All of our guests were raving about the food during the wedding, and everyone had a favourite item that they wanted more of. We did a cocktail style of many small dishes and everyone left feeling full. We had a guest miscommunication that they needed Vegan food, and when we approached Craig and Kristina during the food service they able to accommodate and those guest were also well taken care of.
We also used Urbane to send a Mother's day pre-made meal and this was received very well by Mom.
We will be keeping an eye out for future promotions from Urbane and any other opportunities to work with them.

Urbane catered our backyard for 34 people in July 2021. They created dishes that every single guest could not stop talking about. Our guests are still raving that this was the "best wedding food they have every had".

The team at Urbane are versatile and their ability to create a variety of fresh, delicious, and beautifully plated dishes is second to none. We could not possibly recommend them more strongly! We plan to continue to use them for any future events, as we know we can expect the best quality, comparable to any fine dining restaurant in Calgary. You won't go wrong with this team!

We planned our daughters wedding during the tightest restrictions surrounding COVID in Alberta. Rebecca was fantastic to work with and very understanding of our situation. They allowed us to bump the date ahead for giving them the final numbers in hopes that Alberta would lift some of the restrictions for weddings. When they didn't and the blow of no receptions was given, Rebecca and her team went to work for us in creating something we could be proud of to send home with each guest. They came up with grazing boxes, a combination of charcuterie type food, desserts and sparkling wine beautifully displayed in take out boxes. Each box was wrapped in ribbon with the wedding colours and each guests name was on each box to help separate the vegetarian and younger guests. The "ooo's" and "aahh's" from each guest as they collected their grazing boxes at the door was so satisfying! The food was exquisite and filling. We didn't feel at all like we had left the guests wanting. When the team came to drop off the food they were so personable and delightful to work with. I would definitely recommend Urbane and work with them again if ever the opportunity arose.

From the planning, set up, display, and service everything with this company is top notch and so professional. I received so many compliments on the food for our garden wedding!

We had a wedding of about a hundred people, and the catering was perfect! The chef and ‘front of house’ staff at Urbane were very relaxed and easy to work with. They gave us lots of room to choose what we wanted and guidance when we were clueless (which happened a lot). They helped us figure out what rentals we would need, since we had to bring everything into our venue. We would have been lost without their help.
Our meal was absolutely delicious - mashed potatoes and chickpea/quinoa salad were particular hits. Our guests are still talking about them.
Serving staff were fun and friendly, and flexible with our loosely scheduled evening.
Occasional bit of a delay with email responses, but I think that was more to do with a busy wedding season and them being a smaller company. We always did get responses, so don’t worry if it takes a couple of days!
Highly recommend, would eat those potatoes (and everything else) daily if I could.

We did a lot of research when it came to the catering for our wedding. Food was an important aspect to us. We compared them against Great Event (terrible food) and a number of others in the city. Hands down, Urbane was an ultimate winner! We contacted them, they immediately responded and asked if we could come in for a tasting at no charge. We sat with the organizer Rebecca and the chef/owner in their facilities kitchen. It was clean well organized. Being able to watch the food prep right in front of you was really great. They got to know us during the meal and offered recommendations on how we could personalize our meal. The day of the wedding everything was perfect! Their staff was wonderful and attentive, the food was as perfect as the tasting, they were respectful of their surroundings - it being at my parents house, this was important. I couldn’t say enough about Urbane! They were spectacular to work with.
