  Great decoration lovely family business

  From the moment we met with carol, she was honest and wanted to make sure I was happy. We had a meeting about 1 month before the wedding and I ended up changing most of my previously decided decorations. Carol made this change With us and did not make us feel bad for changing our mind. Thank you Carol and team for such a beautiful decor set up !

  We used wedding decorator for our wedding day. We had a number of LENGTHY meetings and discussed in detail what we wanted to turn around and have the same conversations with Carol again at the next meeting, which led us to believe her note keeping and tracking was poor. She will ask for you to send her copies of pictures for examples if you have them and she won't save them anywhere so best to keep them in your own file. She also changed the price of the products/materials every time we were there, for example bouquets went from 350 to 395 for the brides and the bridesmaids from 110-135 to accommodate calla lillie's and then we were told she couldn't make them for that price with calla's so we had no idea why the price went from 110 to 135 at that point? We were clear about what we wanted but she always seemed to want to change the materials or product for something cheaper. On our initial meeting she "threw in" extras for "free" but then when we wanted to make changes and remove items (months in advance) she would say "let's call it even because I gave you this, this and this free" So really not free. She received the wrong materials for a few items and tried to force the bride and groom to just accept what she got and kept saying "it'll all be fine" The most upsetting was on the day of the wedding Carol said how unruly the bride was to deal with and how she had never dealt with anyone like the bride before to the bride's father and sister which upset them greatly. She is happy for you to give her your money and let her decorate how she wants basically and for the bride and groom to have minimal to no control and just "trust her" We provided a printed instruction sheet of where we wanted the decor items set up that we had bought or had made and she obviously didn't even look at it as our guest book was on the far left side of a table while the "sign our guest book" sign was on the right side- our guest book ended up not getting signed at all. We were also supposed to have a separate table for the gifts and bird cage (which we paid for to be decorated and so on) and this was missing completely. She was disorganized, scattery and forgetful which does not make things easier for the bride and groom. I will say overall though that our wedding was beautifully decorated so Carol and her team executed the final product well, so as long as you can be assertive and clear with your instructions using wedding decorator would be fine. I would also suggest not paying in full more then three months before hand because when you do wish to make changes she refuses to give you any money back.

  Britney I am shocked at your review your wedding was beautiful as you stated in the texts you sent me thanking me for going above and beyond for you I went over the many emails you sent me and checked for the responsiveness with was always within 1 hour I really do not know how I could have done more for you even getting a text from you at 6.56 am the morning of your wedding looking for your hairpiece that you misplaced that you subsiquently found, not to mention going to Toronto because the eggplant callas we ordered come in darker than you wanted

  We got married on February 25th, 2017 so this review is long overdue. When I first met Carol I was so thankful how honest she was and how much passion she had for her work. I walked in only expecting to talk about flowers and walked out with a decorator set out to help me make my vision come true. I had the idea that I was going to do it all myself and she immediately took that weight off my shoulders so I could focus on getting married and having a wonderful day. The flowers were so beautiful and the setup was exactly as I had pictured it.
  
  Carol, thank you so much for everything you did leading up to the day and all the hard work your team put in to setting up the day of. You truly made the day stress free and so special! You are amazing!

  Carol is an absolute pleasure to work with and she is amazing in what she does! I cannot thank her enough for the amazing romantic feel she created on our wedding day! she brought my ideas and dream day to life!   We hired Carol to take care of the details for our wedding as both my husband and I have busy and demanding careers. Carol made me more stressed not less. If you try to save money you will be blocked at every turn. I wanted to use the table clothes provided by the venue and Carol said if there was one wrinkle she would pull out because it was "her name on it". I had to arrange for someone on standby with an iron - seriously. As well, she refused to deliver the flowers to the house before the ceremony - one delivery to the church only that was never mentioned. This held up the photographer. Flowers were very good quality but my cascading bouquet was underwhelming and over priced. BTW - you don't get receipts and she doesn't tell you no credit cards till you try to use one and so you do more running around so she can save a few bucks .... save yourself some stress - hire someone else.

  So sorry you were not happy with the services we provided, our experience of the meetings with you are well documented, as well as pictures of decor that day, your flowers were lovely and priced very reasonabley, unfortunately at the time of your wedding we were not able to accept credit or debit cards as we were just setting up the service , you were however able to pay by check or cash this is the only unfavourable review we have ever had and it is so unfortunate you still feel this way, I am going to post pictures of your bouquet on this site as we are very proud of the work that we do ,wishing you well in the future carol@weddingdecorator.ca

  Carol and her team were absolutely amazing - they went above and beyond and we loved everything, from the gorgeous backdrop behind our head table, to the beautifully draped gift, cake and signing tables, to the beauty and softness that the chair bows, draped fabrics and wonderful floral accents added to our plain white ceremony tent.
  
  With all the stress and anxiousness leading up to the big day, and with all the things that had already gone wrong in our wedding planning process, Carol took us under her wing at the last minute, which I will be forever thankful for. She helped to calm my nerves and took things off my plate, and really made me feel so comfortable and at ease with everything. I am not the type of person to easily hand over the reigns when I'm planning something, and Carol took our vision and made it such a beautiful reality. I couldn't be more happy with the way the day looked and went - it was perfect.

  Carol was nothing but understanding, professional, and all around a good hearted person. I have never met anyone more willing to help and understand my needs. My wedding was absolutely stunning, it was everything I dreamed of and more. My husband was so impressed with what she did as well. We had so many compliments on our decor. Thank you so much for everything Carol. Your an unforgettable person that's for sure.

  Carol is very talented at what she does and she takes complete pride in her decorations. I had a vision of the ballroom in my head, and Carol went above and beyond my vision. The ballroom was gorgeous that I actually broke out crying. Thank you so much Carol to you and your amazing team for making mine and Kurtis day great. We both had a pleasure working with you :)

  My husband Kevin and I hired Carol to decorate our wedding ceremony site and also reception venue, provide our floral bouquets and arrangements, and and also she provided the day of coordination. She did an outstanding job...the flowers were gorgeous, the ceremony and reception sites were decorated beautifully, and Carol was there to troubleshoot on the day of the wedding. I am still receiving compliments on how beautiful the wedding was. Carol met with me many times to discuss what I had envisioned for our special day; she was very professional, enthusiastic, and supportive, and I am thrilled at how the decorating and flowers looked! Her son did the backdrop, wow, looked amazing. Carol, you are a truly talented lady, are very easy to work with, and you responded to my emails in a very prompt manner. I would hire you all over again in a heartbeat! Thank you very much for making my vision for the day a reality!

  It was an absolute pleasure to have Carol and her team decorate our wedding. Her attention to detail, as well as her incredible ideas and input were so helpful with the entire planning process. Our venue was a little older and smaller, but Carol transformed it into a completely different room. I would hire Carol a thousand times over!!!
