  Amazing DJ!!!!

  Jim was amazing!! We had Jim DJ for our wedding, starting with the ceremony until the end of the night. The music transitions were so smooth for the ceremony and grand entrance! He had us dancing all night long!! I don’t think I sat for more than 5 mins on our wedding night because the music was so good!! We only gave him a few songs so that he knew the vibe we wanted and then we left the rest up to him! We would definitely recommend Jim to DJ your wedding or event!! He also does not break the bank which is hard to find these days!

  Wedding DJ

  Our guests had a great time! The dance floor was packed until the last possible minute! Cantstopdancing did an amazing job chowing music to get everyone on the dance floor! Have already recommended this service to a friend who is getting married in 2024!

  Amazing services !

  Jim was helpful from the moment I booked him. We didn’t have an MC either and he had no problem doing that for us. I would highly recommend using his services :)

  Amazing - guests loved the music

  Jim was great . He played everything on my Playlist I requested . My guests even told me he's so good we don't have a chance to stop dancing . My guests were very impressed with the music choices . I will be recommending Jim to everybody.

We asked our guest for any song requests and gave Jim our general favourite music genres and from just this he created a fantastic musical experience that our guests were complimenting us on long after the wedding.   Great DJ for the wedding

  We are so glad that we picked Jim as DJ for our wedding, he was great to work with and kept the dance floor going all night! We had a blast at our wedding, big thanks to Jim.

  Could have gone hairy…. Turned out ok

  My first impression was Jim was very professional, he had a phone call to discuss everything. He gave me his personal cell in case I had any questions in which case I thought was super nice. He drove several hours to perform at our wedding which I was completely over the top happy by. He has an online tool in which you can input songs you want into. The song used for our ceremony was not already on his list, and I texted him several times to ensure he was able to find the right one, and he told me all was well. 10 minutes before I was to walk down the aisle I found out it was the wrong song… and luckily my photographer saved the mess by running my phone out to plug into his speaker. All good, I understand everyone makes mistakes, however my advice would be to check with the couple to ensure the songs downloaded are correct. The music he played was great, and everyone was on the dance floor all night. The only thing I am not happy with is the fact I found out 3 days later he was rude to my guests. One of them being the grooms grandfather when he requested a song. That is not professional in my books and something I am not ok with, hence the poor review.

  Thank you for your review however I’m a little disappointed in hearing that I was rude to your guests as in 33 years of being a dj I have never had a complaint about being rude and I’m not sure who I might of been rude to or who the Groom’s grandfather is. I did send you an email after I saw this review to have you explain what happened but I never heard back from you to this date. This is the events that happened that day I left Barrie at noon that day and arrived at 2:30 I set up some of my equipment in the tent and brought the rest to the house where the ceremony was at that time I ran into some issues one being that there was no table for me to set up on as well as no power we did talk on the phone and you said I could get power from the house which I attempted to do to discover that the outside gfi plug had no power at that time I saw one of the groom’s men and asked them if they could find me a table and they asked me if a picnic table was ok and I said yes and they brought it to me. Then I went back to the house to look for another outlet when a gentleman came to me asked if everything was ok and I said no the plug outside isn’t working so he went into the house and flicked a switch and I then had power I’m not sure if he was the grooms grandfather or not. Just before the ceremony began your photographer came to me and I told her that your processional song was not very long and she went to see you and returned with a iPhone showing me the song I did have the right song with me but the version was shorter that the one I saw on the phone but it didn’t mater as I didn’t use your phone incase it locked out on me and yes I was given the password but I didn’t want to take a chance so I did play the song I had and I have a feature on my dj equipment that allows me to loop a song so I could extend it if I needed to and it worked fine. When the ceremony was over I moved my equipment back into the tent and finished setting up to discover that the extension cord had no power so I followed it to see if it was plugged in at the other end and it was in front of a generator so I saw the gentleman that helped me at the house with the power issue and I asked him if someone could start the generator so I can play music for the cocktail time. As the night went on I did have another gentleman ask me to play 50’s rock and roll I’m not sure if he was the grandfather or not I did play some 50’s for him but as you used my website music database to select your dance songs for the night which included 3 hours and 16 minutes on your must play list and another 2 hours and 36 minutes on your play if possible list when I started to play your must play songs that gentleman was looking at me and didn’t look to impressed with the songs that I was playing. It is the Bride and Grooms day and my job is to take care of them I do and always accept requests from clients and I try to play them but sometimes someone will ask for many and my job is to play for the Bride and Groom as priority. That gentleman did come up to me a few times and maybe he thought I was rude for not playing 50’s all night if that is the case then I apologize.

  Wonderful Experience!

  We booked Jim for our wedding this past August and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We never had a chance to meet with Jim and did everything online and over e-mail but he was absolutely amazing!! He listened to all our requests and planned the night perfectly. Our guests were so impressed that he did such a great job even though we had never met or worked with him before. He was also very flexible and accommodating with things that came up the day of. We would use Jim again and recommend him to anyone who was looking for a DJ.
