One of my few groom duties for the wedding was to find the DJ. After getting a few quotes, I came across Scott who gave me the fairest price and seemed the most enthused about doing it. After meeting up before the wedding, he put most of all our worries to rest due to his professionalism and his glowing personality. He was also instrumental in guiding and providing suggestions for the entire wedding itinerary. There was a slight worry due to the age difference, but Scott was able to take our few song suggestions and use that to create a setlist that had 100+ people dancing for 5 hours. Absolutely electric. He is very personable, easy to work with, and he delivered everything beyond expectations. He played all our “must play” song list, all of us had a very wonderful time. Scott was the very thorough and obviously experienced DJ for our wedding. Our initial meeting was a little overwhelming with all the information he wanted to get from us - much more than we expected as we thought "DJs just make a playlist of songs and press play, right?" Scott was an MC as well and kept everyone entertained at appropriate times. He didn't hog the mic all night and kept things moving smoothly. We appreciated that he didn't force all the typical wedding games on us and just presented them as options if we wanted them. My friends and I really enjoyed the music that he played and I appreciated that he used his DJ expertise to switch genres to either lighten the mood or slow things down.

I will mention that I had requested lots of early 2000s hiphop and it seemed like a lot of the songs were simply ripped from YouTube. I understand they can be hard songs to find nowadays but it was very jarring to be dancing to a song and hear an "AOL first listen" audio watermark throughout the song, or a whole dialogue from the song's music video. I wish that whoever downloaded the songs could've been more mindful to choose a YouTube video to rip that didn't have those types of interruptions.

While Scott was very professional at our wedding, there was some technical snafus in transitioning from our entrance song to our first dance song. I don't think a lot of our guests noticed but I know I felt very awkward and unsure of what was happening. Also, if I were to go through Scott again, I would make sure our songs that required transitions/editing were complete in their edited states a few days before. It was stressful and completely unexpected to be receiving emails from Scott the night before my wedding asking for my opinion and potential changes.

Overall, my guests and I had a ton of fun at the wedding and a big part of that was Scott's ability to go with the guests' flow and the atmosphere he created to suit the occasion. We would definitely use Scott again as a DJ event. His set up and takedown of his equipment was effortless and we were in his very competent hands.

I would recommend Scott and Creative DJ service to anyone who is looking for a helpful, reliable, professional DJ/wedding host for their special day. We found Scott through weddingwire and his wonderful reviews prompted me to contact him at first. At our first meeting, he offered so many helpful tips and he was so funny and charismatic, that we knew right away we would hire him as our reception host + DJ. Throughout the planning, he basically guided us in planning the reception and he responds to all my questions so quickly, via phone or email.

I received so many compliments from my guests on how wonderful Scott was and that he kept the whole night going. He also prepared wedding game that was one of the highlights that night. I can't say enough wonderful things about you, Scott. Thank you for making my wedding a beautiful success.

Creative DJ Services killed it at our wedding! Ever since that first time when we met Scott just 5 minutes into our meeting we knew right away that this was the company for us. The thing we loved best is that they took care of absolutely everything for us. They went into tons of detail about the music, about what we’d seen at other weddings and the kind of problems those things give you and offered us lots of totally fun options that would make our wedding a killer event! My husband is a bug about sound and he was super impressed with the thumping system and amazing choice of songs. They seriously are way more than just a dj and they took the time to get to know us and what we like and then we were able to just relax as they planned all of the important things (And it didn’t cost us anything it was a free service) and delivered so many fun and entertaining details that made our day a total success in a huge way!

I have never before written a review but they deserve it so here goes. Seriously impressive in every aspect of what they do. Scott was so helpful he was actually like a wedding planner, a creative consultant, a dj, a master m.c. and a psychologist all in one! He actually did work with us on our psychology and every single thing that he taught us turned out to be the truth. We are so glad to know that we will be seeing you again as my bridesmaids are dying to use you for their weddings.
