Talented DJ and a Crowd pleaser!
We called James and he invited us to come met him and watch him DJ at a local venue. We could tell right away that he was the right DJ for us.
We hired him for both our social and our wedding. He made the entertainment part completely stress free every step of the way.
For the wedding social we had a 50’s theme for St. Patrick’s Day and we had a choreographed Jive dance with a particular mash up song we gave him ahead of time. James was right on Que with our dance and did an amazing job creating the play list for the rest of the night.
We had comments all night long on how great he was with engaging with the crowed and getting everyone up on there feet. He also took care of the announcements for silent auction portion through out the night he did an amazing job in building up the prizes to get more ticket sales. He really had everyone fully engaged and excited come draw time.
For the wedding, we had met with him a couple times in advance to go over the itinerary. We gave him our song list for the ceremony and bride and groom dance. We were very particular on what songs we wanted played and again, he was right on Que.
For the reception portion of the night, we had provided him with a list of songs we wanted to hear through out the night and he did an exceptional job a mixing them into a play-list he created.
James is very talented DJ and an amazing crowed pleaser. We are so happy to have had him for both our wedding and our social. We defiantly recommend him for any event.
Best Wedding Social Ever.
James was easy to work with: responsive, on time and had great recommendations for lighting, music and set up. James has been in the game for quite a while, and it definitely shows. I'd say he's probably one of the best in the city, and you won't be disappointed if he's your dance hall quarterback.

I possess an outstanding knowledge of all genres of music, evidenced thru my years of experience as Music Director for the largest background music provider in central Canada. I'm known to command audiences with my unique ability to be in sync with any crowd as I am well known to "specialize in everything."
I've studied both practical piano & music theory with Canada's Royal Conservatory achieving 1st Class Honours, which I apply in my practice as a highly skilled technical DJ. I have placed as high as 2nd in Canada in competition against my peers.
My role in Winnipeg's entertainment industry includes original resident DJ status at every major nightclub since the early 90's. These include Mondetta World Café, Boogie Nights Cabaret, Cowboy's Roadhouse, Whiskey Dixx, TYC Event Centre & Nashville's Event Centre & attest to my musical diversity & penchant for creating highly successful music concepts with uniquely inspired themes.
Manitoba's largest events have had me perform as both the DJ & Lighting Designer, including CSA "Commerce Socials", Winnipeg Art Gallery "Art & Soul" fundraisers, Octoberfest & Folklarama.
I excel at music database management, embedding highly useful meta-tags into music files. Every chart hit in the Billboard era is contained. 150 fields of data allow me to create playlists for any event, often in moments. This system is currently in use throughout much of central Canada's best hotels, nightclubs, lounges & restaurants.
Most recently Canad Inns concept change which turned their "nightclubs" into "event centres" has me at TYC Event Centre playing elite level events as well as at Nashville's Event Centre as DJ & lighting engineer for major concerts as well as wedding receptions & socials.
I am also a highly successful mobile DJ, with over 1000 wedding receptions to my credit. In addition, I have contributed lighting/audio installation & music consulting services to 1000's more. I may very well have played more events than any other DJ in Canada over my career.
